Woot! Five weeks! I’m not exactly sure if that’s such a big accomplishment but there it is. It’s *so* hard not to rush this along. I know important things are happening right now.
We went to church again today. It went well. We really enjoy going to South Reno Baptist. Just don’t tell my mom about it, she’d have a bird.
I told my sister on Friday night that I was pregnant so now my mom feels she has the divine right to tell everyone else on the planet. K needs to give his mom the go-adhead to blab. It’s only fair.
Yeah, it’s pretty early to be broadcasting, but I was never one to be able to keep quiet about this sort of thing. I know the danger of miscarriage is high, but I just can’t seem to help myself. I’m such a head case.
I’m still having a hard time digesting this. I mean, we tried for *so* long and had *so* many disappointments. And now, it’s happened. What was so special about July? What did we do that was so different? Was it going on vacation? Was it getting busy every night for like a week? Maybe a combination of the two? Who knows. BUt it worked. The reality of that is deniable at this point. I’m not sure exactly how I finally got here, but here I am.
I’m really happy, but cautious. I wish I could let go of my worries. But I know that’s not likely. But I am happy. I was starting to think it was never going to happen. And it did. I’m really very lucky. THere are so many women out there that are trying. It’s funny; for years I was obsessed with “Why not me?” and now I can’t help but think, “Why me?”

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
