What an awful day!? I mean, I’m really trying to find something redeeming about it, but I’m coming up short. :P

It started off where K didn’t his alarm.? I woke up at 8 and then woke him up.? And I only woke up cuz H came in the room.? Urgh.? So that made for a rushed morning.

Then I was going to stop and get gas on the way to lunch with K.? Well, the card didn’t work.? It took 30 min on the phone with Navy Federal to get it sorted out.? We dropped off our rent check and went to Del Taco for lunch.? Well, K’s debit card didn’t work.? What happened, actually, was they didn’t activate (or fix, really) the cards on my account, only his.? :sigh That and he entered the wrong pin a few times.? He’d never done it before, it was strange.

So FINALLY we got it straightened out and got some gas.? By the time I dropped K back off at work, it was 1!? Two whole hours for that nonsense.? I was pretty frustrated by that point and not the best way to commence the Walmart shopping.

It was just one of those days where everything that could go wrong, did.? Shoot, even coming home I swear every light turned orange o me.? I think God was trying to tell me something.

So now, I’m sittng down with my feet up and have no interest in getting up anytime soon.? I’m worn out.? I can’t wait until our Walmart opens up and this shopping trip won’t be such a big, fat hassle.

Thirteen weeks, 1 day

Today was pretty good.? It started way too early though.? It’s darker in the morning now and it’s not helping me wake up.

I didn’t get much done this afternoon. Err, I mean this morning.? I did get a good shower.? I even “Magic”ed so I’d be ready for the appointment. :lol? Don’t wanna scare the doctor off. ;)

The appointment was at 11:00, so we left here shortly after 10:30 to pick K up from work.? We didn’t have to wait too long, which was nice.? The standard stuff; weight, blood pressure, and pee.? I’d lost 2 lbs from the last appointment which is really no surprise, considering I did the same thing with H.? My blood pressure was perfect which is a relief.? Don’t wanna start off on the wrong foot there.

I had to have the obligatory pap smear.? That was fun.? Just as with H, my cervix bled a little, but Dr. Brown wants to rule out infection.

She tried for the heartbeat o the doppler, but no go.? She thought it may have been due to my tilted uterus.? We did an ultrasound then and saw the placenta was on top too, which also muffles it.? But nice, healthy baby with waving arms.? What a joy to see that!

I also had blood drawn and they let me lay down for that.? That was great, I only ever felt the prick and no dizzyness.? Yay!

After, we had lunch at the DC store.? That worked out really well.? Now, I’m slowly (but surely) working on an update.? :lol? I’ll get it done eventually.

Gosh, I had a hard time waking up this morning. See, I have a lot more energy now, but once I am asleep, I tend to want to stay that way. Explain that one to me!
K finally roused, with Harry’s help, at 8:30. So it looked like we’d make church after all. Rats. Oh well, we’d have to go sometime. :sigh

So we had some breakfast and headed out to church. H was petrified of his teacher because he thiks she got mad at him last time. What probably happened was she told him no or something. And we all know how sensitive he is about things like that.

Church was okay. But the message today was basically all about what we disagree with about the Protestant church. But I really tried to keep my mind open and be tolerant. I think I accomplished tht. After, we argued about the service on the way to McDonalds. I had a Big Mac. Mmm. And K got his blessed McRib. He’s nuts about that sandwich.

Then we stopped by the Dollar Store and I got 10 things. I mean, where else can you get all that for $10? I got bread, chips, spaghetti and sauce, 2 things of lightbulbs, 2 things of candy, tealights and shoot, something else but I forgot already. Oh well. Then we came home.
K and H went to Home Depot. Lord only knows why. I’m watching “My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding.” Hey, it was on. And what else do I have to do? Well, there’s plenty I could do. But sitting here watching the tube is much more enjoyable. And hey! Doctor appointment tomorrow! More blood to be taken. ACK!

8:25pm - Later the Same Day

Woo! ? What an evening.? Pretty much 30 minutes after I finished the last entry, I got a call from Terri.? Jillian had a new Slip & Slide and would H like to come over and play with her?? A few minutes later and the invite included a barbeque!? So, sure, we were more than game.? Sure beat our plans, which were pretty much doing nothing.

So we grabbed H’s swim trunks and headed over.? He had a BLAST on the Slip & Slide.? I knew he’d enjoy it, but I didn’t expect that level of enjoyment.? He was soaked before it was said and done.? The kids got dried off and went in and played in Jillian’s room for a bit, before they went out back to play on the swing set.? More hilarity ensued.

As adults, we sat around and chatted while Terri’s husband manned the barbeque.? Gosh, it was such a nice evening.

Dinner was out of this world!? Grilled Teriyaki Chicken and Cheese, burgers, baked beans, green salad, canteloupe, broccoli… oh lord, I’m stuffed!? That’s more than I’ve had for dinner in weeks.? It was all so very tasty.

And we were able to talk to them about vans and heartily recommended Carson Dodge to them. I think Terri would be very happy with a van.? She had Jillian at Washoe so I talked to her a bit about that.? She had a great experience and even had a private room, which was something I was worried about.? All in all, it was a great evening and I’m glad we went!

Well, it’s a Saturday.? Not that it isn’t wonderful in every way.? It is.? It’s just not thrilling either.? :)? We got sort of an early start, at least by our standards.? 8:00!? H came in with us last night, pretty early.? In fact, it was before I’d even fallen asleep.? So naturally, I was pretty stiff all night long.? But he was awfully snuggly.

K made eggs for breakfast and I talked to my parents.? They were still tired from their trip to China but apparently had a great time.? I’m glad for that.? But we did have a nice chat and H talked to both of them.? He was really good on the phone.

We took showers and went out.? First we took H to Toys R Us and we bummed around there for a while.? After, we got lunch at Jack in the Box.? It was pretty noisy outside.? Street Vibrations is this weekend.? So lots of noisy bikes down there.? At any rate, I enjoyed my bacon sourdough cheeseburger and I look forward to the next one I get to have.

Then we went over to the mall and bummed around there.? H decided in the Disney Store he wants to be Tigger for Halloween.? We’ll see what they have at Walmart.? We looked around all over the mall.? Until, of course, H had an incident with his pants.? So we stopped by Children’s Place for underwear and pants.? Thank God for that card!

We’re home now, and I’m watching “While You Were Sleeping”.? Makes me year for Christmas.? Especially since it was in the 90’s again today!

Yay!? TGIF!? I so enjoy Fridays.? It’s silly, really, consider I don’t work or anything.? It’s nice having K home for a few days, nice to sleep in, do something different.? And we get pizza tonight.? Yum!? Provided that K remembers to bring some home.

TV was good last night.? Long, but good.? We’ll watch Friends tonight.? I’m not sure about that show, Coupling.? Some of it was funny, but some was trying way too hard.? Gimme Friends any day.

“Mother” is on TV right now.? This movie is classic.? Who can watch this and not think about their own mom?

Today was your typical Friday.? Bummed around all morning until time for lunch.? And lunch was good.? I finally remembered to get a belgian waffle.? It was scrumptuous!? I also had a wicked BLT sandwich.? Mmm…? I’ll have to have another of those soon.? But I’m not sure if they’ll have bacon again.? They usually don’t.

Sad how that lunch is such a highlight of my week.

After there was some time in front of the TV.? Then I put in “Oliver & Company” for H and I zonked out for a while.

I was thinking, we should have kid #3 a year or so after this one is born.? H will be in school and the 2nd will still be napping so I can rest.? Yeah, sounds good on paper, doesn’t it?? Maybe by then the state of Nevada will have an HMO and we won’t have to pay up the butt like this time. ;)
