Eighteen weeks, 1 day

Oh, I’m horrible. This past weekend was so nuts, I just could not for the life of me keep up with the journal. We’re getting into that time of the year. Things are going to be rather busy.

Let’s see… where was I?

Oh yes. Saturday, we managed to rouse ourselves around 7 or so and headed to IHOP for breakfast. That was nice. I got the 2 Egg Breakfast, which I hadn’t had in a while. We said goodbye to my parents from there. They wanted to be sure to get home. Luckily, they didn’t need chains at all.

We bought tickets online for the 1st matinee showing of Brother Bear. We left just before 11 and the show was at 11:30. We got there just before 11:15. Well, the place was mobbed. I’ve never seen it like that before! We couldn’t get seats all together so K went out and asked if we could exchange our tickets for a later show. He was able to, thank goodness, for the 12:30 show. So we went over to Parklane. There we found a slot car place that let you rent a car and controller for 15 minutes so we did that. H had a great time, so all was not lost.

At 12, we headed over to the theater again and this time we were able to get good seats. H enjoyed the movie and was good during it. No wiggling around.

After, we needed lunch so we went to Mimi’s. But H was not on his best behavior. He acted atrociously just about the whole time and to top it off, our waiter kind of stunk. We’ve had him before, only in the front room. We had to leave at the end, H was throwing a fit.

I wanted to get a new maternity bra, and look at some clothes so we headed over to the mall. I did pretty well. Got a bra, another bra extender, some cords, and a black turtleneck. Oh, black tights too! Yay! Those will go with the jumper my mom made me. A pretty good haul, all in all. We had to leave the mall after that, H was still being a brat. Figures.

We didn’t do much else that night. Ate left over spaghetti and watched TV. La la la…

Sunday promised to be a better day. We went to craft fair over at the convention center. As they wanted $5 for parking, we parked at the Atlantis. They had a sign up about towing cars going to the craft fair. So we went through the casino and dropped some coins. Hehehe… Then we went out the front and walked to the convention center. It was COLD and overcast out. I was wearing a sweater, but wished I had a coat. We weren’t at the craft fair for long. Maybe an hour. But our van was there when we got out so it was all good.

We went to Jack in the Box for lunch. That would have to be my favorite fast food place right now. We went to Michael’s afterward. K wanted to get some craft stuff. I found a good present for Andrew there, a leather working kit. Just up his alley. :)

Then we went to Babies R Us again. I couldn’t find any size 5 soft training pants though. H was starting to be a brat, so we went over to Sam’s Club, hoping to find some sneakers there. No such luck.

So we went to Famous Footwear to look for some there. I finally found some Avia’s that I liked. It was hard finding shoes that were comfortable.

After that, we stopped by Krispy Kreme for some donuts. Then we went home. K got some of the apples done and frozen and even made some applesauce in the crock pot.

Dinner was simple, just some Chef Boyardee. But it sure was tasty! H went to bed and we watched some TV. Can’t remember for the life of me what we watched.

And today was monday. *sigh* A lot to catch up on today. Dishes and my website update. I really needed to get it done since I missed Thursday. Thankfully, I got most of the dishes done too.

I had a lot of generally boring online stuff to catch up on too. Lots of forum stuff. Everyone was starting to think I’d fallen out of existance.

Tomorrow is the big day! I heard something today about how high beta #’s can mean it’s a girl. I don’t know how true that is, but it’s something. :lol I told K last night that I’ll be surprised either way. If it’s a boy, I’ll be surprised it’s not a girl, and vice versa. Regardless, it’ll be nice to know. I’m so tired of trying to guess. I just hope against all hope that a) we get the ultrasound and b) that this lil’ bean keeps their legs open for us to see. One way or another, I’ll be a happier peson tomorrow evening. Big surprise that I don’t handle waiting very well!
