I’m officially mired in the 3rd trimester laziness.? That’s the only way to explain why I keep slacking off in writing.? Just plain lazy.? Well, and I haven’t been watching Angels lately.? That’s kinda disturbed the “flow”.

So, Saturday.? Hmm.? Oh!? I finally got my phone replaced.? We went down to Cingular (since they never did call us).? Thankfully, they had one in stock.? We enjoyed the part where she told us if the factory found we’d damanged the old phone we’d have to pay for the new one.? Ahh.? Gotta love the customer service.? Brings a tear to the eye.

After that, it was time to eat.? We drove down to Taco Bell and gorged.? Mmm…? tacos.? They taste really good to me right now.? Maybe I’ll have to get one of those taco kits at the store on Friday.? I don’t think I’m quite taco’d out yet.? Maybe I need more TB runs. Then we went to Best Buy.? K wanted to see about getting the laptop battery replaced.? Apparently, we’d bought this three year service contract that said we could get our battery replaced.? Wonderfully enough, the customer service lines at Best Buy are phenomenally slow.? I peeked around, determining that yes, my computer does indeed suck balls.? Just give me one more year.? I’ll get a computer that’ll make them all WEEP.

We made a quick swing through Krispy Kreme for some ‘nuts and then headed home.? In S9 news, the next challenge took place, K Sara and Trent were in the first phase which ended up being endurance.? HoldtheButton.com to be exact.? He did well, nearly six hours.? Now, Sunday we had to see if we got a paper.? We’d gotten one every day last week.? EVERY DAY.? So did we have a paper?? Of course not! Why would we?? It’s not like we ordered Sunday Only delivery or anything. :P? Dumb jerks.

So we eventually pulled ourselves together and headed over to our bright, shiny new Walmart.? There they had the paper for 99 cents.? As compared to the $1.50 newsstand price.? Bonus!? We had lunch at the shiny new McDonalds in the shiney new Walmart.? Kinda surreal.? But it was Walmart.? And it was good food.? And heck, you could even refill your drink right there in the store.? Now that’s class.

We poked around a little bit.? K found a belt he liked and we found The Phone.? We’d looked for this one at ShopKo.? It was $30 there and sold out.? They had the same phone for shy of $19.? :eek? So I’ll be getting that on Friday.? H was being a pain, but then, what else is new? Not much else to say about Sunday.? It was what it was.? And Monday was just that.? Monday.? Let’s see.? I made an update.? Woo.? Exciting news there!? It was fascinating stuff.? A kitchen.? Very pretty. It was showcased today so that oughta tell you something.

Phase two of the challenge took place.? Wouldn’t you know it was Christina and I?? I had K come home from work (bringing Safeway chinese takout with him) so he could help me. Turns out it was fairly siple since we had such good endurance times.? The important thing is we won.? We finally won!? Ha!? It felt wonderful.

Then it was Tuesday.? I’ve been discussing with Doug, ex-SimLair skinner.? He wants me to host his site.? He was willing to go pay but I think it might be simpler to be free with some donation sets.? :)? We’ll see how it all shakes out.? Let’s see.? What else happened on Tuesday?? The New Hampshire Primary.? Bad news is Clark placed 3rd. :P? Good news is Dean was second.? Kerry won AGAIN.? I’ll vote for whoever I have to, but I’d rather vote for Clark.

Not really much else to report.? Pretty average, boring day.

Today was nice, for a Wednesday.? It rained some last night and was really cold so there ws tons of ice out there.? And it was really foggy this morning.? Pretty unusual for these parts.? I worked on an another update.? I’m just a workaholic, aren’t I? ? This was a living set and I’m rather proud of it.? I did some great editing of an endtable and incorporated a big ol fishtank into the decor while I was at it.? I’ll put it out in the morning.? I spent a good potion of the day working on that.

Subs have been pretty good this week.? So I thought we could use an IHOP coupon and go out to eat.? I was in the mood for breakfast.? I got the Viva La French Toast.? It was a bit much for me.? But nice to have it and not have to worry about dinner or anything.? After, we cruised by Walmart.? I wanted to get H a new Bear video.? He’s been insane watching Bear this week.? I’m sick of the videos we have.? So got him a DVD. I also got the other two Key books so I’m good to go on books.? And that’s when we saw Divided in Death. :eek? I didn’t even know it was out!? So of course we had to get that too.? I’ll be set through March!

Right now, we’re watching Stealing Harvard.? It’s pretty funny.? Killing time before Celebrity Mole comes on.? That show is the bomb.? I’ll be so sad when it’s over.

Continuing with Thursday…

We drove over to Washoe and found a garage to park in.? Of course, it was hell and gone from where we needed to be. I’ll give the lobby this, it was nice.? Big ol’ TV to watch, dim lights, comfy chairs.? It wasn’t long before a gal from maternity came down to show us what was what.? It was on the second floor, like St. Marys.? Cept it was the WHOLE second floor and it was huge.? There’s this security guy when you first get off the elevator and you have to show him your photo ID.? No kids under 10 except for siblings.? Then you check in with labor and delivery on the left.? I’ll get in a room and then go to the c-section “room”.? That was just down the hall.? Then there were the post-partum rooms.? And yes, some were doubles.? She said the private rooms were first come, first serve.? But that certain medical situations, such as a c-section, give you priority.? She said even if I were in a double to start with, I’d probably be moved.? So that’s good news. :)? We looked at the nursery.? There were all sorts of babies in there.? Aww!!? K picked up H so he could see.? He seemed pretty transfixed. We also saw where the NICU was.? Hoepfully we won’t have to remember where that is.? We also set H up for a sibling class in February.? That’ll be good for him.

Before we left we got pre-admitted and all that jazz.? There didn’t seem to be any regulations about cellphones or anything and no problem with brining a laptop.? Excellent!? After that, we went over to the FMC.? Dr. Brown called on Wednesday and my glucose was normal but my TSH was extra low.? So she wanted me to come in and get my T4 levels checked.? For *hyper*thyroid.? :lol? Of course.? So we get there and of course, we’ve got to deal with incompetant Dork Lady.? But I was feeling mellow and wanted to try to put her at as much ease as possible.? She even let me lay down.? Which ended up being a good thing. She poked my right arm and then lost the vein. Yikes!? After digging around *cringe* a while, she gave up? on that.? She decidd to go for my left hand (lots of veins there!).? It hurt but I bit down as much as I could.? Finally, it was over.? After all that, we had lunch with K.? I was pretty starved.? And that is pretty much the story of Thursday.? Not much else to tell.

Today had it’s share of bad news.? Another TC on S9.? Ugh.? But the good news is that we got to vote out Jorja. ? Yay!? We had lunch with K again, this itme at the Cellar.? We were in the mood for sandwiches.? I was going to check out the new Dollar Tree after but it won’t open until February 3rd.? Nuts!? I knew it couldn’t have gone in that fast.

Good news on the home buying front!? We got preapproved through CTX and Full Spectrum!? Yay!? $180,000.? The house we want just went up to $173,000 so we better move fast.? Just gotta see where we’re gonna get the $2000 deposit.? We need to get on that.? And further good news… I don’t have to be on the loan!? Yay!!? So it’s actually starting to look like something we’ll be able to do.? Hooray!

We were discussing options some.? K doesn’t want many but I think there are some we’ll definitely want.? Like a gas stove.? The powder room.? Etc.? We need to go in and talk about this more in depth with Brian, but he’s rather hard to get ahold of.? Speaking of… where’s my new cellphone?? I’m starting to get rather ticked here.? K has to try calling that stupid girl again.? There really is no excuse for this.? Urgh.

Okay… continuing on…

So they took H back and weren’t going to give him a cleaning cuz K told them he’d had one at the other place in September.? Um, for one thing, it was june.? An dhe didn’t have a cleaning then.? But whatever.

They took some xrays and H was a champ.? And of course, they told us what we already knew.? BAD teeth.? We knew what had to be done.? Surgery.? So we weren’t much farther ahead than we were at the other place.? BUT.? Then we saw the estimate.? Wow!? Not official or anything, but significantly less out of our pocket.? Hooray!? So we’re looking at doing this in the next month.? Yikes!? For dinner we went to Taco Bell.? You know, you get a lot of food there for the money.? I couldn’t even finish mine so I brought it home so I could have it for lunch.

Wednesday was… a wednesday.? On S9, Jorja lost her marbles.? Really, really poor strategy.? Needless to say, she hates me.? Well, maybe not needless cuz it’s foundedon absolutely NOTHING.? She’s ticked off everyolne on the tribe.? Oh, and I’m in an alliance now. :)? Me, Riley, Keifer and Trent.? We rock.? Well, we would rock if we didn’t keep losing challenges.

Walmart finally opened!? Yay!? H and I went over after lunch to check things out and buy a few things.? It is VERY cool.? Tons of stuff.? Rock bottom prices.? And a McDonald’s!? They also a self-checkout which is pretty nifty.? K brought home some pizza for dinner.? I’m getting spoiled. ? And then today, K took the morning off because we had a lot to do.? I got to sleep in a touch, which is ALWAYS appreciated.? I got my shower in and then we were ready to go.

Lord I’m getting bad.? Well, lessee… Monday was a day off.? What’d we do?? God, how pathetic.? There was this call from Terri on Sunday that I forgot to mention.? She asked me about us going to church.? I made up something, though it was mostly true.? Then she started asking me all about my beliefs.? I could sewar I was being interviewed. :lol For what?? I fudged a little, but mostly I was honest.? She seemed pleased.? I’m going over there to work on crafts next Thursday.

Anyhow, on to Monday.? We got up, pretty late.? After 9 at least.? K made us waffles for breakfast.? Mmm!? Then what?? We went to the mall.? No real agenda, just to browse around.? Got H a Hot Wheels calendar.? Stopped in at Motherhood and was far too tempted by the sale.? We got some lunch at the food court.? We compromised on Steak Escape.? Boy, do they have some yummy stuff there.? That was nice.? A little more bumming around then we had to go.? My back was killing me.? We stopped by Krispy Kreme on the way home.? But of course! :)? I’ve developed a thing for the chocolate frosted.? Hell, I hav ea thing for chocolate, period.? So that was Monday.? So exciting.

Tuesday was back to work.? It was actually snowy that morning.? Almost forgot what that’s like. I worked on an update.? A bedroom, for a change.? I haven’t done one in ages.? H had a dentist appointment at a new place at 2pm.? Wild about Smiles.? We picked up K first and H cracked me up when he saw K wasn’t in his office.? He said, “Oh no.? Not again.” :lol Poor kid!? The new place was nice, lots of toys and such.

Ah yes, H and his teeth.? Got a few other items as well, before we headed home.? I think I took a nap, not sure.? It was *days* ago. ? If I did, I’m sure I enjoyed it. :)? Oh!? One more note about Wednesday.? All of Donna’s (the egroup thief) groups were shut down by yours truly.? *bows*? Thank you, thank you very much.? Yahoo got on that within 12 hours!

So Thursday… What happened?? Uh, I put out an update.? That’s always nice.? Nothing huge or astonishing.? Just… a build set.? But life moves on. It was a good TV night that night too.? No Scrubs yet thugh.? Apparently it’ll be back next week.? And I really shoulda known better than to watch ER.? It was all about babies and the NICU and all.? A touch on the depressing side and not good for pregnant women.? Oh!? I forgot to mention that we went to IHOP for dinner.? I had one of those great coupons.? It lacked something but at least we didn’t have to fix something ourselves.

Things have continued on the theft front.? FUBAR was a-hoppin’.? This gal “Marlena” plus this guy “Mark” were posting, providing much entertainment. ? I mean, come on, trying to prove no one can copyright their creations?? Puhlease.? But as I said, entertainment.? That brings us to Friday.

K was hip deep in Opening so he couldn’t do lunch.? That’s a bummer.? Something we always like to do and mixed with Wednesday’s disappointment, it was a big bummer.? But very undrestandable.? I had to go to Albertson’s, we had some coupons to use there.? So H and I went over there around 11.? Got some very good buys and I bought into my juice addiction again.? On the way home, I went through the Jack in the Box drive thru for some grub.? Oh boy, eating in style now!

On FUBAR, Marlena appeared to recant.? Her story was her 14 year old was caught stealing and she realized she was setting a bad example.? :dry? A little contrived and convenient, but I wanted to believe her.? And I wanted to see what information she could give us if she was truly on the level.

In S9 news, we were working on our second challenge.? It was this evil wordsearch/scrabble thing.? Woulda been better with scrabble’s rules, not Joe’s .? He was kinda tight.? Well, we were supposed to start up at 6 eastern. 3 pacific.? First off, Joe was late.? Second, the other team wasn’t even on yet.? K had workedup this great strategy.? We just had to set in motion by sending in this one more for a 3 letter word.? Jorja sent it in, but she didn’t give the word. :doh? Turns out, you have to give the word when you send in the move.? Urgh.? So there was going to be no points awarded.? Nevermind it didn’t state this in the his rules.? So I sorta lost it.? I called Joe a bunch of names that were quite rude and probably uncalled for.? :blush? I was just really pissed and this close to quitting.? So was Sara.? Thankfully, Joe came to his senses and gave us the points.? The other team STILL hadn’t shown up and we all needed a break so the game was called off until later the next day.

I really needed to de-stress so we went over to Round Table for pizza for dinner.? That was really nice.? We got a medium and that was more than enough for the three of us.? H had as much pizza as I did!? We bummed around ShopKo after, looking at sale stuff.? There was this one maternity shirt I would have loved to get.? It ws 50% off.? It’d make a good nursing top too.? I may still get it yet.

Then it was Saturday.? Was that ominioius music I heard?? Anyhow, I talked to my parents… they were big on wanting to firmup a date but I had to explain that the c-section wouldn’t be scheduled for qutie a while yet.? And at least we have a general idea. K had to install a scanner at the DC store so H and I tagged along.? It was supposed to be a quick thing.? Alas, it was not.? Course, the scanner didn’t work.? So it took some finageling and calls to CBORD and such.? We were there quite a while.? Luckily, we scored some free lunch from the deal.? Bonus!? Finally got the scanner to work but then he had something to do at his office.? Thankfully, I had a computer to play on there.? The S9 challenge was back in business but we were trailing BADLY in points.? How?? That brilliant move K thought of had been used against us. :P? And no one had bothered to block it.? Ugh.? It became rather apparent we were going to lose.? The challenge just sucked.

Jenn’s housewarming was at 4:00 and it was just after 3 so we decided to go ahead and go.? We stopped at Smiths for some flowers and a card.? We also killed some time.? We got to their house right on time. It’s such a cute house!? And I liked what they’d done with it so far.? K had never met Shannon before and he really thought she was cool.? We had a great time and H was moderately well behaved.? At least, until the end when he had a bit of a sugar high.? We met this guy, named Robert, who happsn to work with mortgages for Full Spectrum Lending.? They apparently specialize in bad credit mortgages.? So he gave us his card and we’re thinking of giving it a shot.? So it was all good fun.

Last night was a horror.? H would NOT go to sleep.? He came in to sleep with us, but he kept flailing and crying.? K went and slept in the guest room but he STILL kept doing it.? Finally, about 3:15, I’d had it and got K.? We moved him back into his own room and that was that.? I slept like the dead until the next morning.? 10, even!

Time to finish the challenge.? We lost, of course.? The margin wasn’t as bad as it could have been.? We just had *bad* letters.? Hell, when the game was over, we had all vowels.? Ugh.? We had lunch/dinner at Jack in the Box and then back to the university.? More work!? Gotta love opening.? We weren’t there too long though.? Oh!? I forgot to mention!? I heard from P on Thursday after her ultrasound.? They are having a boy!? I’m so excited.? 2 boys within 2 months of each other.? I’m sure a girl would have mademe just as happy but I’m so glad for there to be another boy in the family.? And I’m sure Adam is glad.
