Rats… missed the last day of the year.? It was a busy day.? But…

Happy New Year!

I feel 2004 will be a great year for us.? New baby, maybe a new house, PLEASE a new president… Could make up for some of the less than stellar years we’ve had lately.? Like 2001 and 2002.? Ugh.? Bad years.? 2003 was not bad.? Rather good, actually.? Found out we were FINALLY pregnant and got a new van (on the same day, no less!).? I struck out on my own with my Sims website and found I did quite well with it!? Course, I’m tired of it now, but it was a nice side avenue for me.? A full year in this house, which so beats the pants off living in an apartment it’s not even funny.? And did I mention the new van?? Humina.

Hopes for 2004?? Well, healthy baby first and foremost.? That should go without saying.? A new house.? Hopefully, it’ll go right for us this time.? We just HAVE to get into a house.? And a plan 6 at Turtle Creek would be fabulous.? So fingers crossed big time on that one.? We gotta get a new president.? Bush has to go.? I’m still in disbelief that he’s th epresident in teh first place.? But this country is headed for the crapper if something (ie: him) isn’t changed.? Oh, please God.

I’d also like to lose some weight after the baby is born.? I’d like to at least get under this particular weight, and I don’t think that’ll be too hard to do.

I’d like to close my site this summer.? It’s past time to move on and I’m already bored with the Sims.? I’d like to do something else, eventually.? Maybe graphics or something.? But after this spring, I’m going to be busy for a while.? But I have liked having a purpose.? And the pocket change.

So yesterday was insane.? Of course.? K wanted us to come for lunch at noon instead of eleven.? I got some new pens!? Yay!? We paid our rent and went to eat at Del Taco, as usual.? Nothing new, really.? After we dropped K back off at work, H and I stopped in at ShopKo and took a look at what was on sale.? Lots of stuff, actually.? I got a grea tnightshirt that would be perfect for in the hospital.? Satiny on the outside, and soft on the inside.? Perfect!? It is long sleeved, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.? I wouldn’t wear it the first 24 hours anyhow.

Safeway was insane.? I was just going to get some things for the New Years Eve gathering.? It was so crowded and I was starting to feel it.? Ugh.? I was so glad to get out of there and go home.? By then, it wasn’t to long until K got home and we left for Rob’s house.? We hadn’t been there, to their new house yet.? They got the same plan that Jenn got.? Lots more room for them.? We pigged out on h’ors d’ouvres and then settled in to watch Two Towers (again).? We toasted the New Years with non-alcoholic champagne (not bad!) and went home.? They gave us some baby stuff, a changing table, pack n’ play and some clothes.? VERY appreciated.

Today was cold and dark and damp.? We did some more shopping, at lunch at Mimi’s… when we got out of Walmart at nearly 6pm, it was dark (of course) and COLD so all the wet rain and snow from earlier was fozen.? Yikes.? Driving home on the interstate wasn’t too bad, but 80 was closed at the stateline.? And the snow was really sticking to the roads here in the Northwest.? K’s hoping it’s real bad in the morning so he can stay home. ;)? I say he shouldn’t have to have an excuse.? Oh well, what do I know?
