Good lord.? I’m sorry I didn’t write sooner but things were sorta busy.? And just… ugh. Okay.? The appointment.? So K took the morning off and went down with me.? My appointment was at 9:15 and I was going to the lab at 8:30 to get started on the GTT.? Well.? I had to wait when I got there. Until nearly nine.? The usual lab gal wasn’t there.? That should have been my first indication.? This gal was nervous about drawing my blood.? I’m sure it would have been better had I been laying down.? I was pretty disappointed.? So she gave me lab orders to go get it done somewhere else.? Right.? So I just wasted a good hour.? Nice.
The appointment went well.? I measured right at 28 weeks, was down one pound from my last appointment and we got info on touring Washoe.? Maybe we’ll do that the same day I finally get around to the GTT. :P? Plus, we got another ultrasound peek and finally got what we wanted: confirmation.? It’s officially Jackson William now!
So that was nice and helped make up for the rather crappy morning.? It was just before 10 by then, so K went back to work and we went home.? We came back after 12 for lunch.? Interestingly enough, the Wolf’s Den is open but the Cellar is not.? That’s a new one.
K didn’t have the van, so we came BACK (again) at five to pick him up.? I wanted to do *something* so we went out to eat.? We went downtown and ate at Tivoli Gardens.? Probably not our best move, considering my PayPal wasn’t exactly rich and the service was pretty poor.? Oh well.
Saturday, we slept as long as we could.? Till after 9 is all I know.? We had a vague set of plans.? Now that we knew we were having a boy, I wanted to scope out Babies R Us.? We went down and they had a lot of things clearanced.? Including a SnugRide carseat.? Just like we were planning to get.? Originally $90, marked down to $50.? Wow, almost 1/2 price!? You just can’t get oen of those brand new for that price. :)? Sadly, we had NO money on us.? So we had to pass it up.? We saw a lot of things we liked, including this Baby Trend High Chair for $90.? We’ll probably end up getting htat at osme point.? So now all we need is the co-sleeper.
For lunch we went to Subway.? It was actually pretty decent.? And since my appetiete is down, it was just right. After, we drove up to the North Valleys to take a look at Aspen Leaf.? I was expecting townhouses but they were more like duplexes or attached homes.? Regular houses really.? The gal said there was 3 feet between them, but I doubt that. Still, not bad looking.? A little small, the largest is over 1400 sq feet.? But not bad.? And there were a whole lto of nice standard features.? AND it’s easy walking distance to the park and elementary school.? As in you can see them from the front porch.? K wasn’t too thrilled with them though.
We thought we’d drop in on Turtle Creek since we were there.? We were pretty disappointed with the guy there.? As many times as we’ve been there and called, he should have known us.? But he had no clue. :sigh? That sure didn’t impress us much.? We have to call CTX and get preapproval through them before we can even reserve a house.? So I guess we’ll have to do that too.
After that, we went to the Northtowne Winco.? We’d gotten some free grocery coupons in the mail and had to use them there.? That place is just as awful as ever.? More so.? The parking was atrocious and it was so crowded in there.? I’d rather shop ANYWHERE else.? But we got english muffins, eggs, bacon and orange juice for free, plus some yogurt for H.? We couldn’t get of there fast enough.? They don’t even take credit cards!? How messed up is that?? I had to write a check for $1.88!? Ugh.? I won’t be shopping there again!
I talked to my parents Sunday morning.? And we decided to go back for the car seat.? We had some Christmas money we could use.? We got hte last car seat in the joint. :)? We browsed around a little before we left.? We did lunch at Mimi’s.? Should have been fast food, but it was so tasty.? I got the soup and 1/2 salad.? It came with a VERY scrumptuous muffin.? Mmm..? Thinking about it is making me hungry again.? Probably shouldn’t have but we did and it was GOOD.? On the way home we stopped at ShopKo to browse around.? We didn’t get anything.? Too bad.? I guess we were all spent out.
So, home it was.
K’s been obsessed with his new LOTR game.? So he plays that a lot at nights now.? Though last night we watched The Last Crusade.? I heard more from my “thief”.? She had up another egroup with some more of my files, plus other sites files.? So I posted to her group asking she remove them.? She deleted my post and banned me from the group. :P
So I cancelled her subscription, promising to refund the remainder within 30 days.? She wrote a very snotty email back, promising to share more of my files.
I slept on it and by morning felt better.? Found out her payment had been reversed back in November due to using a fraudulent credit card!? So no refund for her.? Told her and she spun a yarn about how I stole her credit card and she’d joined under another name.? Was opening a special group to share all my files.? I’m sure that’s all b.s.? But still upsetting.
And S9 started today.? So far, I’m not too impressed, not many people have been on.? But both Sara and K are on my tribe, at least for now.? I hope something happens soon.? It’s just too slow to beliee right now.
So I’m feeling stressed.? I don’t have a cellphone, someone’s stelling my stuff and I have to get the GTT done.
This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
