What is Blogcess?
1) It?s almost 2005 and that means it will be a new year and the time when many feel it is a chance to complete all those ignored tasks of 2004 ? - so in keeping with the tradition of many, do you have any resolutions?
Oh, definitely. And I don’t normally do those. Because, in part, they are *so* hard to keep. But I’m determined this year. 2004 sucked pretty hard and I do *not* want to see that happen to 2005. Instead of leaving it entirely up to fate, I’m going to try to make it good, via resolutions. Most of them are listed at the right, at the bottom of the menu. (If you have IE, you can’t see it. GET FIREFOX!)
ETA: As I’ve since removed that particuloar design here are my resolutions:
- Get pregnant
- Learn to play chess
- Plant backyard
- Send firstborn to kindergarten
- Clean out garage
- Work on installing powder bath
- Become a happier person
2) What will you be doing when the clock strikes midnight?
We’re having some friends (and perhaps some neighbors) over to our house for an informal gathering. We may watch some movies, listen to some tunes….definitely drink lots and lots of booze. :drunk And at midnight, I imagine we’ll be watching some sort of countdown on TV and I’ll give Mr Callista a big smooch as we whoop, “It’s *over*!” There will be much celebration.
3) Instead of making a list of news, political, entertainment and other events that took place during 2004 I thought I?d just break it down into favorites. What were your favorites in 2004?
Favorite Movie: Isn’t it ironic that my favorite movies of the year were all sequels? :lol And Return of the King and Love Actually would be on here but they came out in 2003.
So my favorites are: Shrek 2, Spider-Man 2 and H Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I’ll go into the how’s and why’s in a later post.
Favorite Song: Most of my favorite songs *aren’t* from 2004 and if these aren’t, then too bad. I’m putting them down anyhow: Evanescence, Going Under, Bring Me to Life and My Immortal. Matchbox 20, Downfall and Bright Lights.
Favorite TV Show: This is easier.
LostandThe Amazing Race
Favorite Political Event: Ugh, don’t remind me. Probably when Kerry came to Reno and went to see him at Lawlor Events Center. Very exciting.
Favorite Product: I dunno…that’s a tough one. But this stuff is pretty nifty.
Favorite Person: Another toughie. Pretty fond of Jon Stewart.
Favorite Book: I’m gonna be predictable here and say this.
Favorite Magazine: Us Weekly. Trashy, I know. :blush
Favorite News Outlet: This is a given. Either that or Fark.
4) Time to spread some ringing in the new year ?Blogcess? linky love.
I’m *guessing* this means to post links that I like so here goes:
Television Without Pity ~ not really a blog, but whatever.
Amalah ~ she totally cracks me up. Every. Time.
I think that’s all for now. I’ll probably post in the coming days expanding some of these answers, but for now, this will do. ![]()

It’s funny you mentioned that about “Love Actually” because one of my friends told me it was released in 2003 too - - and I told her the reason I had it as my favorite for 2004 is because that’s when I first watched it
lol
Thanks for participating in “It’s Blogcess” - - I look forward to reading your blog more often.

:lol Good point! I first saw it in 2004 too. Ah well. It is a righteous movie, isn’t it? Maybe I’ll just have to watch it again today…
