And not a moment too soon, I might add. It’s over. It’s a little hard for me to fathom. I spent so long hating 2004. The last nine months of it at least. Now, before me, lay possibility. Marvelous, stupendous, absolutely fabulous possibility.
As you can see, I got my blog all straightened out. I was quite alarmed to notice it was acting up and when I tried to fix it, things got worse… You know how it goes. Then our friends came over to celebrate and I just had *no* time to work on it. We were busy most of today too, which is surprising in itself seeing as how we are STILL innundated with snow. I finally figured it out tonight…I was a stupid permalink structure I’d set up, totally messing everything up. Go figure. So I fixed that and all is hunky dorey now.
We *did* make it out into the frozen tundra that was Reno today. We went down to Parklane and saw “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”. *whew* Say that one five times fast. It was cute, very fun. Jim Carrey was outstanding, as usual. The set design was fantastic though, and quite easily my favorite part. We did notice there is a plethora of horrible movies on the block for release in the coming months. One is this hideous monstrosity called, “Racing Stripes”. You know, only rarely is talking farm animals (or other animals for that matter) entertaining and I fear this is not one of those times. It just looks too dumb to believe. “War of the Worlds” looks like it might be fun, but I don’t know when I’ll get to see that as it looks way too intense for the Boy.
We went over to Mr Callista’s friends house for dinner. Was well and fun but we buggered out early. Still exhausted from last night. And yes, I did get :drunk but I was lucky enough to dodge the hangover bullet. Boy got us way early though. But what are we doing? I’m dinking around on the compute and Mr Callista is playing Xbox. Figures.
So just wanted to let blogland know I was still alive, made it into the New Year. Hope the rest of you had a smashing time of it as well. Till we meet again….
This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
