They must have had stuck-on grease

Okay, so it’s another lazy morning at the house. After a bowl of cereal and some peanut butter toast, K and I settle in to watch some of the special features on our “Return of the King” discs. All is well and good and we’re into the “Weta Workshop” portion of Disc Four. This is when K notices Tiger sitting up behind our heads on the back of the loveseat. He appears to be wet, particularly on his head though all over. How the heck did he get wet? K then says, “What did the Boy spray on you?”

This of course, does’nt surprise me. H has become extremely interested in the different body splashes I’ve had, often dousing himself and sometimes the cats. I am always on him to knock it off, leave that stuff alone. And for a good week now, he had. No incidents. And perhaps he thought he was doing a good job disciplining them for whatever it was he thought they were doing bad. When they were new kittens, we had a water bottle that we used to squirt them when they clawed the furniture or something. But he hadn’t squirted them with water. Or with body splash (as a quick sniff of Tiger’s head soon confirmed).

No. My darling son had squirted him with Dawn Power Dissolver. :shock

We checked Tiger’s sister, Cinder, and found her to be a similar situation, though she’d only been squirted on the lower back. Not on the face. NEXT TO THE EYE, like Tiger had.

Naturally our first reaction was to grab both the cats and head up to the bathroom for an impromptu, yet thourough, cleansing of our feline friends. Naturally, they rebelled against this notion, but we out-muscled them (and hey, only got a couple scratches, I consider that a raving success) and got the job done. Poor, poor dears. And in the tradition of all the bathed cats that have come before them, promptly set out to repair the damage we had wreacked upon them.
