Okay, I had my big fertility doc appointment today. I was a little nervous but saw it as getting our show back on the road. I wasn’t sure what the doc was going to suggest but at least we were doing something proactive about this baby business.
Of course going *anywhere* with the unusable stump formerly known as my right leg is a pain in the arse. We made it down there, I hobbled back to the doc’s office and we sat, awaiting the next chapter of our lives.
He made some small talk about how sorry he was, he’d heard what happened with Jackson, what’d you do to your leg, etc and so forth. That maybe took five minutes total. He looked over our charts and decided Clomid worked so well last time (fifth cycle is working so well??) that we’d just go ahead and do that again. Gave me some lab orders to have my TSH for my thyroid checked out and said to give them a call when my period shows up again. Nothing about ordering Clomid or anything, but I guess he figured we knew to do that much.
All that and we still had a $30 copay. :shock I thought $20 was a lot but they informed us becuase they’re “specialists”, it’s more. I guess I should be glad we didn’t have to pay for the whole kaboodle. But $30 twice a month on top of the price of the drugs ain’t gonna be pretty. :sigh
So I felt a little disappointed. I mean, it was nothing that couldn’t have been arranged over the phone, thereby avoiding the $30 copay. We were in there for maybe 15 minutes.
Afterward, the boys really wanted to go somewhere to eat. I really just wanted to go home and climb back in bed, but I humored them. We went to Mimi’s where I picked at my soup and salad (brought the muffin home with me, didn’t even attempt that) for the next hour. Took another pain pill becuase my leg was KILLING me by that point. My appetiete seems to have taken a vacation. I’m hardly ever hungry anymore. I can only hope this helps me lose some of this weight I’m carrying around on those damned crutches.
So I’m home and cozy and comfy once more and decide to do some blog tinkering. First, my plugin manager goes on the fritz. Oookay. Then I try to install this plugin called Titleimages 2 myself, without the plugin manager and that goes well except I can’t seem to make the new titleimages show up. I can’t go to the plugin webpage for help because his site went *poof*. Then I try to tackle my permalink structure again and once again am met with absolute failure.
:dry
So you’ll have to forgive me if I’m in a rather bitter, disappointed and frustrated mood this evening. Nothing seems to be working out the way I want it to, damnit. But then, when was the last time anything ever came easily for me? Long ass time ago, man. Long ass time.
