Yawn-a-thon

This Saturday goes down in history as THE MOST dull Saturday I have ever spent on this earth. I think I’ve spent 80% of the day alone, isolated in my bed, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in my ankle. That or I’m sleeping. :dry I can’t blame the Boy and K for wanting to bug out, do their own thing, even leave the house. After all, they aren’t hoplessly crippled and chained to bed. But lordy, I’m just used to Saturday’s being a touch more stimulating than this.

Everyone has had something to do today. Well, except my mother, it would seem. She talked my ear off for about an hour this morning. As a somewhat captive audience, I was trapped. But sadder yet is I was glad to have someone to talk to!

I mourn for my lost Saturday. They’re usually so much fun. Well, that may be an exaggeration. But they’re at least more interesting than this. The weekend is half over and I have nothing to show for it except maybe a bed sore or two. :P

H is even having more fun than I am. At nearly 9pm he is still awake, entertaining K’s friend’s little boy R in the loft. As R doesn’t really speak much yet, they’re grunting at each other and cracking up. I can hear this through my closed door. The rest of the adults are downstairs, drinking beers and socializing. Poor me, neglected and alone here in my room, stuck watching “The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood” because I don’t know where the remote is to change the channel or turn the :tv off. :mope

Don’t you feel sorry for me yet? :)
