Friday Randomness

Being a random sort of day, the random end to a random week… I felt today’s post should be celebrating that randomness. Embracing it. :) So here goes…

A music Random Ten is where you open up Winamp or your music utility of choice, load up your playlist and randomize it. Then you list the first ten songs. No cheating! Here’s my list today:

  1. Tina Arena & Marc Antony - “Love’s Funny That Way” from the “One Fine Day” soundtrack. Shut up, it’s a very romantic cd!
  2. Bryan Adams - “I Will Always Return” from the “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” soundtrack. I love the songs on this soundtrack, and this is one of my favorites of them all. Yes, it’s a kids movie. But it’s a fantastic kids movie. :)
  3. Eva Cassidy - “Songbird” Don’t really remember why I have this. LOL
  4. Celine Dion - “My Heart Will Go On” from the “Titanic” soundtrack. Yes, I know. Cheesy as all get out. But I loved (still love!) that movie and the song is downright haunting.
  5. Dave Matthews Band - “The Space Between” Love love love this song. There was a period of time where I’d listen to it multiple times each day.
  6. Def Leppard - “Pour Some Sugar On Me” A CLASSIC. God, I loved Def Leppard. I even saw them in concert. It rocked. I got a contact high from the people smoking pot behind us. It was awesome.
  7. The Cranberries - “Zombie” It’s a fantastic song. I rock out every time I hear it.
  8. Gwen Stefani, featuring Eve - “Rich Girl” You know that annoying Pepsi commercial? Yeah, the song grew on me. Sue me.
  9. Evanessence - “Anywhere” OMG, this is my new favorite song (I’m so glad it showed up in my top ten!). I simply cannot listen to this one enough.
  10. Enrique Iglesias - “Escape” Totally enjoying this song these days. I’m thinking of doing something creative with it. Something entirely cheesy and totally repulsive but creative. I’m too ashamed to mention it here. :blush

So yeah. There are my songs. Love, love, love em. :)

So I went to see the RE yesterday. Got a follicle ultrasound scan courtesy of the dildocam. I was so nervous I wasn’t going to have any follicles maturing but I did! Voila! And I had fantastic lining, according to Shannon. (She is the bomb, love her) Apparently fantastic lining can be hard to come by on Clomid so I consider myself lucky. Or maybe it’s the Robitussin? At any rate, she said I should ovulate over the weekend. I had two follicles on one side, one was 15mm and one was 18mm. So that’s pretty good. Twice the chances of a positive result!

However, I’m not as positive about the outcome of this month’s cycle as Shannon is. I told her I still didn’t have a prescription for Clomid or the progesterone suppositories (EWW!) that I have to take so she gave me one for the progesterone. When I asked about the Clomid she said, “But you already took it.” :blink She didn’t seem too worried and said if I needed another cycle, she’d give me the script then. Glad someone’s not nervous about all that!!

Anywho, I’ve been taking these stupid OPK’s every day about 3pm. I was getting nervous because I was getting very little feedback from the tests that ovulation was going to occur anytime soon. I took one today, as usual. The line is much darker now but now I fall into that trap where I wonder if it’s dark ENOUGH. I guess I need to have K take a look at it. I can’t be counted on to know these things!!

Speaking of RE’s… when I was there yesterday I noticed a magazine called “Conceive“. I didn’t even know there WAS such a thing! I wish I’d known ages ago because that’s something I could have gotten a lot of good out of. Of course, this was only it’s second issue and it’s only a quarterly magazine yet. But I think it has promise because I think there’s an incredible market for magazines like this out there. How many women who are trying to get pregnant or having troubles getting pregnant (*especially* if they’re having troubles) get tired of having to sniff out the infertility or preconception articles in pregnancy magazines? This is perfect! Thankfully Shannon said I could take an issue home as they have tons of copies. Score!

On Wednesday I had an appointment (I’m just an appointment going fool these days, I tell ya) with my orthopedic guy. It was a great appointment. I got the go-ahead to start putting weight on my foot. *AND* in a little over a week I can take the obnoxious boot off and start wearing this air and gel filled stirrup. The good part about that is its far less obnoxious and I can wear regular sneakers with it. :woot Plus, the doctor said I can slowly start to wean myself off the crutches which thrills me more than I can express.
In fact, I got a little too excited and did a little walking around yesterday without the crutches. Went alright but afterward my ankle was hurting like it hasn’t hurt in weeks and I haven’t been able to duplicate my neato trick since. Nuts. Guess I should take it easier but hey, at least I *can*. Far cry from how I was a couple weeks ago.

Poor little H has a vicious cold. Is it wrong though that I look at him and think, “Oh yeah, I’m getting that”? Because you *know* I will. It’s only a matter of time. Mark my words!

Okay, that’s enough for now. Thanks for tuning in. Have a fantastic weekend.
