Friday Five Meme

Posted on Friday, March 25th, 2005, 11:45 AM

Because I am yet again terribly unoriginal, I present to you a meme. But not just any meme. A Friday Five meme. I got it from here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/thefridayfive/15555.html and will attempt to answer the questions now.

  1. What is your favorite movie of all time?
  2. Oh jeeze. Of *all* time? Probably “The Empire Strikes Back”. But there are so many on my list, it’s hard to pick just one. But I have to give it up to George Lucas. He made some mad crack with that flick.

  3. How often do you watch this movie?
  4. Unfortunately, not too often these days. We have the dvd and all, but I know that movie so well I could play it in my head without skipping a scene. Probably comes out to once a year.

  5. What’s your favorite line out of the whole movie?
  6. Oh man, another question with many answers. This time, I’m going to give you many answers because there are so many lines from this movie that I just *love* and some that bring back extra-fond memories.

[a tremor knocks Leia into Solo's arms]
    Princess Leia: Let go.
    Han Solo: Shh.
    Princess Leia: Let go, please.
    Han Solo: Don’t get excited.
Princess Leia: Captain, being held by you isn’t quite enough to get me excited.
Han Solo: Sorry sweetheart. I haven’t got time for anything else.

    and let’s not forget:

Han Solo: That’s a good story. I think you just can’t bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight.
Princess Leia: I don’t know where you get you delusions, laser brain.
    [Chewbacca laughs]
Han Solo: Laugh it up, fuzzball.

    Not to be outdone by:

[The Millennium Falcon, under siege, won't start]
Princess Leia Organa: Would it help if I got out and pushed?
    Han Solo: It might.

And this could go on all day so I’ll just include this:

    Princess Leia: I love you.
    Han Solo: I know.

    *Classic* :)

  7. Who’s your favorite character from this movie?
  8. Easily Han Solo. He has all the best lines.

  9. What scene do you love the most?
  10. Tough one! I like the “Stop that.” “Stop what?” “Stop that, my hands are dirty.” scene. My friends and I used to be able to quote that, verbatim. Anytime anyone said, “Stop that,” we’d launch into it. Good times, good times. :)

So that’s it. Now you know I was once (and probably still am, let’s face it) a major Star Wars dweeb. :nerd
