In the name of all that is holy

I swear to freaking, fracking GOD, what is *with* some people?

Okay, so as you saw me post yesterday, Zoot is having some serious pregnancy problems. (The good news is she can still find the heartbeat with her doppler! Fingers crossed for continued fetus health!) Of course, another gal whose blog I simply *adore* also happens to be good friends with Zoot. Well, the same day Zoot posted her request for prayers, Amy posted an adorable entry about feeling the baby move for the first time, among other things. And let me tell you, nothing beats feeling those movements so I was right there with her in the happiness.

Of course, there are people out in Internet-land who just physically cannot hold their opinions to themselves. People? That’s what blogging is for. You have an opinion, you post it on your blog. You don’t go emailing people and getting all up in their grill. Like the mental deficient that emailed Amy, chastising her for getting a speeding ticket while pregnant. Oh please. But that has nothing on the person who bitched her out about posting happy preggo goodness while Zoot is in dire straits. I kid you not.

What? :wtf Are you fucking kidding me??

You know, it’s no wonder that people who run infertile blogs get nervous when they get their :bfp, and not just because they’re worried about miscarriage. No, because they know the “community” will turn on them like a pack of rabid dogs. I’ve seen this before, in other circumstances, and it just TURNS MY STOMACH. Yes, I know sometimes when undergoing a battery of infertility treatments, the last thing you want to see is someone going on and on about their pregnancy. But really people? Better than to attack said preggo via email or through their comments or even passive-aggressively on your own blog, why don’t you just try NOT READING. I know it sounds crazy, it’s a radical notion. But consider for a moment, that this person deserves to be able to blog about their pregnancy every bit as much as about their infertility. EVERY. BIT. It is simply your choice whether or not to read it. If this person wants to proudly post their mid-second trimester belly for the blog-world to see, she should feel free to do so without worrying about how others might react.

It’s called live and let live. Can’t we all just get along?

And, FWIW, Amy has some fantastic belly pics. You go girl, thanks for posting those.
