Okay, that *could* be an overstatement. But I enjoyed the episode heartily. For several reasons.
- Uchenna and Joyce - They are my new heros. I mean, I loved this team before but now? Total unwavering devotion. They went for the Fast Forward which required both team members having a shaved head. Uchenna…well, he was already there. But Joyce didn’t even hesitate. She went for it. She knew they needed it. SHE IS SO BRAVE. Honestly, if put in her same place I don’t know if I could have my head shaved. Course, it helped had a ‘do rag handy to cover her head with afterward. But still. I have so much respect for them now. Not that I didn’t before, but honestly, they are exactly how I want to be when I grow up.
I truly hope they win this thing. - Gretchen and Meredith - I’m glad they weren’t eliminated. Even though Gretchen was starting to freak me out with her “atop the elephant” shrieking and they were getting awful snippy with one another at the “camel-block”. They’re officially the oldest couple to have made it this far and that in itself is super awesome.
- The Boyfriends - ARE GONE. I’m so happy about this. The sad thing is I sorta liked Alex. He was okay. But I just couldn’t tolerate Lynn and his awful comments. Each week something would come out of his mouth that would just horrify me. I’m so glad they’re gone and I won’t have to listen to their bitching any more. Sorta like how I was SO glad last week when Coby was booted off Survivor. Gay guys are great. Gay guys who do nothing but bitch and moan get old real fast.
A few other observations:
Rob and Amber got married! Yeah, I mean, they were engaged and all but still the wedding was sort of a surprise to me. I expected more hype.
Still, good for them. It sort of validates their entire relationship and from what I’ve seen so far on AR, I think they’re pretty well suited to one another.
Kelly is going straight to hell. I don’t care if she *is* a beauty queen who voted for Bush and poses with American flags in her spare time… the clips for next week showed her saying somethign SO INEXUSEABLE to Ron that I think it may just be the worst thing I’ve ever heard one contestant say to another. And that’s *including* Jonathon and Victoria!
As they say on TWOP, “Free Ron!”
