Being “po” sucks

by Marilyn on May 14, 2005

So, as I promised myself, I took a hpt this morning. :bfn, of course. I sort of expected it would be :bfn because I’d felt a little crampy yesterday and, let’s face it, I’m just not that lucky. ;) So now it is a matter of when, not if, this cycle will come to a close.

Of course, this would mean its time to refill my Clomid script. Right? Wrong. I simply lack the :money. Last month, design jobs were prevalent and helped me purchase the Clomid. Our regular budget has been tight since Christmas, K made a deal to pay off one of our high-interest debts at a fraction of the cost and he took it. It, of course, meant spending more money than usual each month so we’ve barely been squeaking by. That’s where my design business has been handy, helping us to buy groceries and pay for gas, also covering the Clomid.

This month, no dice. Things have been slow the last two weeks or so. We are nearly out of gas (good thing we’re not going anywhere this weekend…guess church is out), so we have to save all of that we can. I have about $10 that I can buy some groceries with next week (I’m in charge of bringing one of the dishes for our MOPS meeting on Wednesday morning… provided I have enough gas to get down there!). I don’t know *what* we’re going to do about gas. And it just looks like there will be no Clomid this month.

I’m more bummed about that than the :bfn. I hate wasting time. It’s always been a pet peeve of mine. And this just feels like wasting time. I know, that given another week or two, I’d be able to buy Clomid no problem. We’re getting a home equity loan to pay off debt and landscape our backyard (in the finishing stages of the paperwork on that one) plus K will be paid in about two weeks. It’s just *right now* that we’re feeling the pinch.

I hate putting off another month, but there really isn’t any way around it. :mope Now *this* is more my luck. ;)
