In for a desperate summer

How foolish was I to believe all the press that all the questions on Desperate Housewives would be answered before the finale. FOOLISH, FOOLISH GIRL! See, that’s how they get you to watch. And then they spring more questions on you so that you feel like you haven’t learned anything.

They’re pulling a Lost on us!

Except we get no answers until *next season*. :doh This is just unacceptable. Sure, now we know “whodunnit” and all that good stuff. But to be honest, didn’t there reach a point where you didn’t really care any longer? Okay, maybe that was just me.

Of course, there were some pretty stunning surprises. Not the whole Carlos/Miguel thing. *yawn* The Linette thing was sorta funny…the tables have thusly been reversed on her and now she has to go to work. Of course Matt (I *think* that’s her husband’s name..) will have to stay home with the kids…and he’s in for a rude awakening, now, isn’t he? No, the big surprise was Rex. I totally didn’t expect the poor guy to DIE. Not only that, but to die thinking that Bree poisoned him. And forgiving her at the same time! Daaaaaang. And things had just started looking up for them too. It was good to see Bree finally break down, even if she had to finish polishing the silverware first. She’s been needing that all season.

I hate to think what she’s gonna do when she finds out pyscho pharmacist is the one who poisoned her husband. Of course they’ll hold onto that little nugget until at least Christmas. :roll This show is worse than a soap opera!

Now, what I truly objected to was the way the show finished out. With Mike walking into his house, unknowing of Zack holding Susan hostage at gunpoint just inside, waiting for Mike’s return so he could kill him. Of course, it didn’t take me more than two seconds to figure out that Mike must be Zack’s dad. How long will it be before they reveal THAT one??

It’s going to be a long, frickin’ summer.

(This really makes me nervous about Lost. If they leave it with a big cliffhanger I may have to hurt someone.)
