Dang, its hot outside. And its not even 11am yet! Okay, so maybe hot isn’t the word for it yet, but I’m definitely anticipating. Its supposed to get to at least 100 degrees today. And tomorrow. And Friday. Which means I’m not all that interested in leaving our upstairs anytime between now and then. We have window-unit air conditioners upstairs, which allow me to work on my computer and sleep at night without experiencing a heat stroke. ;) But downstairs? We have some fans. That’s it. Yeah, I’ll be staying up here.
I don’t know why I’m such a wuss about the heat. Furthermore, I don’t know why, if I’m such a wuss, I live in NEVADA. But fate is a cruel mistress and here I am. I just don’t do well in heat. Never have, never will. I get headaches, stomach aches, I start to feel just BAD. Now that I know this about myself, I do what I can to remove myself from overly-warm situations. I just wasn’t meant to live in a hot climate. I’m thinking Alaska would be awful nice this time of year.
In the meantime, I drink drink drink my water. I stay in the a/c. I pray for a break in the temperatures. We’re supposed to get a “break” on Saturday… only 98 degrees. :P I’m sorry, but that’s not much comfort. Next week? Looks like more 100’s. *whimper* Pray for me!
This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
