28 Bottles of Beer on the Wall

by Marilyn on August 19, 2005

So I’ve been drinking more than usual lately. A fact that is probably well-known to you, faithful reader. I feel justfied in the fact that a) my life as of late has sucked pretty hard-core and b) we normally go *months* without having anything to drink. Beer will often sit in our fridge for weeks and months on end. Bottles of wine remain half-drunk until we throw them away. Now, neither of the above scenarios would occur around this house in the last two weeks. Just no way.

I did a tally today. I tallied up all the drinks (that I can remember) I’ve had between August 3rd and August 18th. It’s a rather impressive list.

  • 1 Jack & Coke
  • 1 7&7
  • 5 glasses of champagne (some larger than others)
  • 7 bottles of Mike’s Hard Berry
  • 5 Margaritas (2 strawberry, 2 regular)
  • 1 extra large glass of Chianti
  • 1 glass of Cabernet
  • 2 Kahlua & Creams
  • 1 “chocolate” milk (consisting of chocolate liqueur, 1/2 and 1/2 and milk)
  • 2 Gin & Tonics
  • 2 Hornsby’s Amber Drafts

Now, what’s on the menu for tonight?? :woot

Drinking is fine, just as long as you’re not drinking alone, or if you are depressed.

Um I have an idiotic question…does beer get spoiled? I heard it does but I’m not too sure.

From personal expereince and sharing a dorm w/ a bunch of college drunk, I say no. I’ve never tasted bad because it’s been sitting in the fridge for a month or so. A very cold fridget beer taste as good whether’s it has recently been bought or if it has been sitting for a over a month or so.
