Dear Disney,
Keep putting out movies like Valiant and you’re going to suffer the same fate that you suffered during the 70’s and 80’s… and studios like Pixar and Dreamworks Animation are going to gobble up all your profits. (Speaking of which, WHY did you let Pixar go? DUMB!) Do you want to be known as the studio that can only pump out Great Mouse Detective-like features? What happened to good old days of thinking big and acting bigger? What happened to movies like Aladdin and The Lion King? Or did you just fire all your really good animators and storytellers?
Valiant was cute at best, dull and unimaginative at worst. The best word to describe it? Over-eager. The dang thing tried too hard. I understood the places where I was supposed to laugh but I just didn’t feel it. All I did was wish we could have made the earlier showing of Sky High, though that is made by you guys too, so lord knows.
Before long, I’m just going to steer clear of Disney movies and take my son to see something else. Because it’s one thing if I get bored, it’s a whole other thing if *he* gets bored.
