Today was one of those days that I seriously should have stayed in bed. SERIOUSLY. Thankfully, nothing catastrophic, but today was filled with the sort of shit that makes you want to jump out a window before 2 o’clock.

Yeah, one of those days.

First off, my hosting was due. I’d been paying for this one package, that they don’t offer any longer. I wasn’t even close to using all the resources and the next lower package was $10 cheaper so I considered downgrading. But then I saw there was a $10 downgrade fee. So I was going to have to pay the same amount this month anyhow. Hell, if I was going to have to do that, why not just upgrade to one of the reseller hosting accounts for the same $? Sure, seemed like a good idea at the time…

But that was before I realized that meant my site needed to move, and therefore required different domain name servers. Which meant that the domain name would need to propogate. Which would mean that for an indeterminite amount of time, my site would be down, as would all the sites I host. And not only that, but the wonderful people hosted on my site who had their own domain names would have to change their domain name servers too and wait for their domain names to propogate.

You see what I’m getting at here?

Plus, add into that the accidental f’ing up of one of my forums so I had to reinstall it and the learning curve for a reseller account that’s a little more involved than I had hoped and you’ve got a great day. And I’ve just given you the highlights!
