My uterus is flooded!

So today was the infamous “water ultrasound”. And despite assurances that it wouldn’t be that bad, I was pretty anxious. Luckily, I didn’t have too much time to stew about it; I had an insanely busy day. So before I knew what was going on, it was time to leave for the doctor appointment. In fact, I was running late, trying to finish up some last minute work.

But it went well! I’d forgotten to take my Motrin :blink before I left, but I had some Aleve with me so I popped two. But seriously? No big deal. It was the standard date with the speculum so the doc could insert the tube for the water and that was the only cramp I had. And it wasn’t that big a cramp either. Not like the laminarias or the HSG. Once the tube was in, the speculum came out and the probe ultrasound wand went in. The water was squired through the tube, ultrasound pics were taken and that was it. We were done.

After distinctly feeling as though I’d broken my water (had I been pregnant, of course), the doc told me that everything looked perfect. Not a cell out of place. In fact, he said, I was growing a follicle. I’ll have to investigate online, can you grow follicles without ovulating? Anyhow, I got dressed again and we made an appointment for the end of October. A long way from now. I forget what they called this meeting, but it basically sounded like that’s when I would go in to talk about our “course of action”. Which, I expect will be Clomid so why do I have to make an appointment to talk about this?? They just want to do all they can to make sure there’s no way I’m pregnant by Christmas. :P
