Okay, I’ve got a put an end to this. Though I do have a sneaking suspicion that this will rather fan the flames. But at least I will have addressed the issue instead of trying to pretend it doesn’t exist like I have been doing the last month or two.
I can’t tell you how many hits I’ve had from people looking for information about the new NBC show by the same name as this very blog. To those very people: THIS IS NOT IT! For months now I get searches for people looking for information about the television show…and worse. There’s apparently this commercial or something for this show and apparently there is some song played on this commercial which people are just NUTS for. And they come here looking for it. To those people: IT IS NOT HERE!
But I’m going to throw ya’ll a bone and give you all some links so that you can act out your obsession elsewhere. You can find the TV show webpage here and the gal who sings the song is here. You can even listen to the song :-o here. Now please, for the love of god, leave me alone. (I do realize though, that this very entry will probably only serve to send more people here. So be it.)
FWIW, I don’t really have a great opinion of this show. I’ve seen the promo online and I am not impressed. It looks pretty contrived. Plus, most people out there could probably care less about a show about infertile people and the infertile people who would be interested in such a show will feel insulted by the storylines. I mean, sperm switches? Mixed up eggs? Parents suspicious of surrogate mothers? It just seems really stupid. There’s a fine line to walk on a show like this. And it looks like they’ve taken the easy way out. A better way to approach this subject matter would be to do a “Touched by an Angel” sort of format. Focusing on one couple or infertility story each week with the “stars” being the helpers and not the story so much themselves.
I won’t be watching this one.

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
