TV on the Brain

by Marilyn on September 21, 2005

Doesn’t it seem like a good majority of my posts this week are about television shows? (Warning: there will be more, trust me.) Doesn’t this make you think I’m vastly uncultured and have the activity level of a squash and am terribly dull as a result?

If so, I can’t blame you and you’re probably right.

Regardless here are some television inspired thoughts:

  • My Name is Earl really does rock. Honestly. Please watch it.
  • There was an old Cosby Show repeat on Nick @ Nite last night that is probably my favorite Cosby Show episode of all: where the Huxtables at large decide to teach Theo a lesson about the real word and make him rent out his own bedroom. LOVE IT.
  • We caught the very end of the Dancing with the Stars “dance-off” and I reaffirm my belief that Kelly Monaco is a no-talent hack. The only thing that girl CAN do is shake her hips which she does often and vigorously. Big freaking deal. I *so* voted for John O’Hurley. I hope you did too. You did, DIDN’T YOU?
  • Lost premieres tonight. SQUEE!! I’m so excited I can barely think straight. Loves ma Lost. Expect a full recounting of my horror/delight/frustration, etc in the morning. (or later tonight if I’m *really* horrified/delighted/frustrated)
  • And totally not about TV but falls under the entertainment category so SHUTIT:

  • I finished Halo 2 this afternoon. Yes, *again*. But this was on the previously mentioned “Heroic” difficulty setting. True, K helped some (but *shh* don’t tell him I probably could have done it all myself and considerably better too. ;)) but the fact of the matter is, I finished it off, I played the bulk of it. I ROCK. No, I will not be trying “Legendary”. I’m not insane, people. But I may go back through and play the first Halo a time or two, different difficulty settings. Gotta keep myself “limber” for Halo 3 this spring!

That’s one of my favorite episodes of the Cosby Show too. I love how Rudy’s dressed up like an old woman.
