It’s been a rather lazy day around these parts. Which is just the way I like it. Of course, I’m in the throes of a wretched head cold and have the energy of a gnat. So lazy is good. Lazy works.
K and I have been playing some Halo 2. Yes. Again. We’re playing the “Legendary” difficulty setting together. However, we’ve come to discover that Bungie thought they’d be cute when they made the game and have made it to where one person dies, you have to start the checkpoint over again. Now, I know this interests all you out there about as much as watching wallpaper peel. But, people, that’s a big freaking deal! This is how we play when we play together. One of us gets blown to Pacoima and the other hangs back so the dead partner can “respawn” and we can continue the fight from where we left off.
Not anymore.
No, now one of us gets anhiliated two steps from a checkpoint, we have to start all over again. And have I mentioned that “Legendary” is HARD? Try impossible! We aren’t even halfway through the first level and we’re already eating serious DUST. My first reaction? Making a pilgrimage to Bungie Studios to put a hurt on whoever thought this nice little twist up. Second reaction involves introducing my beloved Xbox to a baseball bat.
