The in-laws have taken up residence in my home!
Actually, it’s not that bad. I’m pretty lucky in the in-law department. They’re both nice, down to earth people who I truly enjoy being around. So having them come to visit is actually a joy.
No, the hardship came this morning when we woke at 8:00 am and had to hit the ground cleaning. Which isn’t a way I like to hit the ground at all. But the truth is we were past due for a cleaning. Actually, that’s probably the reason I was dreading it so badly. The longer you let something go, the worse it gets, right?
We all had our jobs. I had to clean the cat boxes, K had to mop the kitchen and bathroom and H had to dust the living room. I had to vacuum the stairs, K had to scrub the bathroom and H had to pick up his bedroom.
Amazingly, we got it all done in time and the place looks pretty nice. The in-laws arrived (a little ahead of K’s schedule but right on time as far as I was concerned) and lunch was had. The reason they’re here? To help K install a ceramic tile backsplash in our kitchen. Wee! It’s gonna look fabulous, I’ll post pictures. :)

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?). Thanks for coming by, feel free to dip into my archives, read my About and History pages (just don't do Jackson's Story without tissues!) and make yourself at home.
