Everyone laugh at the idiot

Wow, I do believe I got my VERY FIRST flame ever! What a distinction. :)

This one posted a comment on an entry that’s at least two months old, if I remember correctly. His name is Denis and he apparently has no life. The comment reads as follows:

I don’t understand where all that hate to Andie MacDowell are from. OK, she is not the best actress of her generation but absolutly nothing justify that hate.
As long as I will not get sincerity around these awful critics I will imagine you with decayed teeth, fat, and broken.

Denis

Wow. Ever heard of subjectivity? So I don’t like Andie MacDowell. So what? Doesn’t mean I have decayed teeth, does it? Though I will have to agree to the broken term. I am definitely broke.

But come on! Geesh! Get a sense of humor! Live a little! :)

(and, in retaliation, because I’m more than a little immature: I don’t understand where all the love for Andie MacDowell comes from. Have you even SEEN Four Weddings and a Funeral??)

The Sweetest Thing

by Marilyn on October 26, 2005

I belong to this group called “MOPS” here in town. This is my fourth year going and I simply adore this group. I know the ladies well enough to consider them friends and back when I started going, it was my *only* adult outlet besides my husband. When I was first asked to join this group, I jumped at the chance. I could get out of the house for two mornings a month, have someone else watch my child while I sit, eat and talk with other moms in a relaxed atmosphere? SIGN ME UP!

While this is techincally a group for mothers of preschoolers, the rules say you can be a member until your child graduates kindergarten. Then you “graduate” as well. This has been weighing on my mind. My son graduates from kindergarten in June and I’m not pregnant… it doesn’t take a genius to realize my time with MOPS is coming to a close. I’ve told the Steering Team, of which I am also a member, that they will most likely need to be looking for another Publicity leader (I’m in charge of newsletters, fliers, etc and so forth). Everyone has been pretty sad about this. Of everyone there, I’m the only one who hasn’t missed a single meeting. I don’t know if that makes me painfully pathetic or truly dedicated. Both?

So at last night’s Steering Team meeting, the coordinator of our group presented me with a membership, in honor of Jackson. Meaning, I can attend MOPS through 2009 or something like that (whenever Jackson would have graduated kindergarten). I’m so amazingly honored. These guys are bending the rules for me! They all said they know I will be pregnant soon and have a “take home baby” soon, but they didn’t want losing membership in MOPS to be giving me unneeded pressure.

Awww! That is quite simply one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done to me. Seriously brought a tear to my eye.
