  • 1. I was born in California.
  • 2. I’m not proud of that fact.
  • 3. I came to Reno to go to school to get away from California.
  • 4. Because it was the furthest from home my parents would let me go.
  • 5. I can’t stand to be too hot.
  • 6. Bad news is it can get pretty hot in Reno.
  • 7. I’d love to live in New England someday. Maybe even the Pacific Northwest or Alaska. See a trend here?
  • 8. I was married to K in August of 1998. 8/8/98, in fact.
  • 9. My birthday is 12/12.
  • 10. My son was born 11/10. I was *that* close.
  • 11. My second son, who was stillborn, was due 4/4/04
  • 12. I have a weird thing for those symmetrical dates.
  • 13. I was raised Catholic and attended an all-girls Catholic high school. Complete with the plaid uniform skirt.
  • 14. Contrary to popular belief, I really enjoyed my high school. I made a lot of great friends there.
  • 15. I *hated* junior high school. All the kids there were stuck up selfish brats. If not for the private high school, I would have had to spend high school with those same people and I don’t know if I could have withstood that.
  • 16. My favorite subject in school was English.
  • 17. My senior year of high school I took five different English courses.
  • 18. Surprise, surprise! In college I majored in English.
  • 19. The real surprise? First I majored in Journalism and didn’t switch for the first two years so I had to graduate in five years instead of four.
  • 20. When I came to school in Reno, I had no car, no friends and barely any money.
  • 21. I was very homesick that first semester.
  • 22. I had a crazy roommate. She did drugs and would stay out all weekend. Her “connections” would call all night long and then she’d yell at me because I’d unplugged the phone.
  • 23. The next semester I moved in with a girl who I’d become friends with. She turned out to be psycho too. She tried to ban me from using the internet and one night attempted suicide with a bottle of tylenol.
  • 24. I had better luck my sophomore year, but the first semester my roommate was a girl from Japan who never spoke to me the whole fall semester.
  • 25. Spring semester that year I had a roommate from South Africa. She was nice but turned psycho the following fall when she tried to blackmail me for money to pay her outrageous phone bill.
  • 26. Junior year I decided to live in the on-campus apartments for upperclassmen. The first semester, I had another roommate who never spoke to me. She was from Taiwan and was always blasting the heat. (see #5)
  • 27. Thankfully, she left at the semester but then I had this skank ho for a roommate. She’d bring this guy she was seeing (and she had a boyfriend at home) into our room and they’d have sex like two feet from my bed. She was also a freshman but her dad had worked his connections to get her into the upperclassmen apartments.
  • 28. I’d met K by this time so I had someone to vent to. And someplace to go hide. Thank god!
  • 29. When we got married, he was finished with school but I still had some more credits to finish up. (see #19)
  • 30. When I graduated, I was three months pregnant. K and my parents still made me sit out in the sun for four hours anyhow.
  • 31. I had no problem getting pregnant the first time. I actually got pregnant on Valentine’s Day and the doctor had a good chuckle when she figured that part out.
  • 32. I have four other brothers and sisters. All much older than I am.
  • 33. My mother had me when she was 42.
  • 34. My dad was 40.
  • 35. My sister used to tease me, saying I was a hole in mom’s diaphram.
  • 36. My mother had several people recommend having an abortion with me. Thankfully, she wouldn’t consider it.
  • 37. The rest of my family was born back east in Michigan.
  • 38. Except my mom. She was born in Indiana.
  • 39. My parents still live in the same house I grew up in.
  • 40. My old bedroom is now the guestroom so when we visit, we stay in there and it’s really weird now that I have a husband and a son.
  • 41. Especially when K gets in the mood. :shock
  • 42. I got my first cat when I was in the fifth grade. She was a stray kitten and I named her Callie because she was a calico.
  • 43. Callie had to be put down when I was in the sixth grade because she had cancer.
  • 44. A few months later, I got Ben. And I had him up until the day my son was baptised in 2000. He got sick and had to be put down.
  • 45. We had this great cat named Shadow that we got when I graduated from college. But when we moved to our new house this summer, he got out and we never saw him again. :(
  • 46. For our anniversary, K let me get two kittens, siblings. We named them Tiger and Cinder. They *adore* the boy.
  • 47. Just after we were married we had this dog named Indiana. He was a pain in the arse. When H was 10 months old, we gave him to my brother in law because at the time we were in an apartment and they live on a big piece of land.
  • 48. Christmas of 2001 we got Mistletoe. She’s a rat terrier and pretty small so a good apartment dog.
  • 49. We call her Beetoe becuase H couldn’t say Mistletoe. She’s the epitome of a lapdog.
  • 50. I often remind her I’m not a dog person, that I’m a cat person, but she doesn’t seem to care. I have to admit I’m pretty fond of her.
  • 51. After I had Harrison, my thyroid took a nosedive. Found out after we’d been trying to conceive for two years and now I’m on Levothroid to control it.

  • 53. I have a very obsessive personality.
  • 54. In high school, I was addicted to “Days of our Lives” and drove my friends crazy with it.
  • 55. Later on in high school and in college, I was obsessed with “Star Wars”. My first online alias was “Leia”.
  • 56. For a few years I was obsessed with the PC game, “The Sims”. I had a website where I made furniture for others to download to use in their Sims homes. I just closed that site this last December.
  • 57. I’m starting to think I’m rather addicted to this blog stuff.
  • 58. My middle name is Sue.
  • 59. I was named after my mom’s sister. First and middle names.
  • 60. Since the name is rather old fashioned, I’m always getting AARP stuff in the mail.
  • 61. Growing up, my favorite shows were Scooby Doo, The Muppet Show and Spiderman.
  • 62. I miss “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.
  • 63. Vicodin makes me totally zone out..:dead
  • 64. When I was sophomore in college, I flew to Missouri to meet some friends from the internet. Totally on impulse.
  • 65. Lucky for me, it was all good and I had a great time. Nowadays though I don’t think I’d even consider doing something that stupid.
  • 66. I met K on a dorm sponsored camping trip.
  • 67. I knew he liked me when, a day or two later, he started playing with my hair while we were talking down in the computer lab.
  • 68. Never being the patient sort, I eventually asked him out for what was our first semi-date.
  • 69. We went to see “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” at the $1.50 theater with a mutual friend.
  • 70. That night we were doing homework together and ended up talking into the wee hours of the night before he walked me back to my room.
  • 71. My favorite color is purple. Though I’m awful partial to pink right now.
  • 72. I love Italian food. Especially if it involves an incredible sauce.
  • 73. I was raised Democrat.
  • 74. K’s family is mostly Republican but he is also a Democrat.
  • 75. I love my Dodge Grand Caravan. I don’t see the big deal about SUV’s. Give me a minivan anyday.
  • 76. My favorite author is Nora Roberts. I have a huge collection of her books and am always trying to add to it.
  • 77. I learned how to swim when I was 18 months old. I grew up with a pool in the backyard and my mom figured I’d better learn how to swim early. They briefly entertained the notion of getting me in swim classes so maybe I could be on a team later on. But I just wanted to play in the water, not do freestyle.
  • 78. I used to love to watch Punky Brewster and Silver Spoons.
  • 79. I *love* lobster. Especially fresh ones from Maine.
  • 80. I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts until I had an eye infection in college and ever since my eyes haven’t been able to tolerate them very well. I hate glasses.
  • 81. When I was pregnant with my first son, the nurses told me I was 5′8 but I think I’m really 5′9.
  • 82. K is 6′0.
  • 83. I believe the Boy will outpace us both.
  • 84. When I was in high school, I didn’t want to have any kids at all when I was married.
  • 85. I’m pretty sure because other people’s children have always intimidated me. I never liked to babysit.
  • 86. As a sophomore in college, however, I watched that stupid movie, “Nine Months”. You know the scene where Hugh Grant first sees the ultrasound and he gets all emotional? *That* is what did me in. Had baby fever ever since.
  • 87. Thankfully, I’ve found out that I love being a mother and am so hoping for another chance at it.
  • 88. H (the Boy) was born via an emergency c-section under general anesthesia. I had been induced due to pre-eclampsia. I didn’t get to even see him until five hours after he was born.
  • 89. I got to see him once and then, while at nursery, he turned blue. They ended up moving him to the NICU and in order to see him, I had to get my hacked up body out of bed and go down there. All in all, I think having to get out of bed helped me heal faster.
  • 90. H was on an apnea monitor for the first three months but that was more of a pain than it was worth. He was healthy as a horse and the dumb thing kept having false alarms, scaring the living shit out of us in the middle of the night.
  • 91. I regularly have K trim my hair for me. He’s actually really good at it.
  • 92. He’ll even color my hair for me. On several occasions, he’s given me highlights.
  • 93. To be fair, I usually cut his hair for him too. We have one of those professional stylists kits, which helps.
  • 94. I have a serious spider phobia.
  • 95. My skin is whiter than white. I physically cannot tan.
  • 96. My eyes are blue…my mom used to call them true blue because they have no other color in them. Whatever that means.
  • 97. I have really long fingers. Which helps me type really fast.
  • 98. I love the 80’s. Seriously.
  • 99. 2004 was my worst year so far, hands down.
  • 100. I need to have a watch on my wrist constantly. I start to unwind if I don’t know what time it is.

If you read all that you get a cookie. :)
