You mean it actually *snows* here??

The First Snowman of 2006

Much to our surprise, we woke up not to rain this morning, but to snow. Further proof that the weathermen here in town have NO clue what the heck is going on with our weather. I don’t think they’ve gotten a single thing right this entire last week. Like Friday night when they assured us that the Truckee River would *not* jump it’s banks. What happened Saturday? Flood City. Last night they were telling us, we might get a little snow above 5500 feet, but it wasn’t looking too likely. And if so, it’d only be for a few hours before turning into rain. Nope, it snowed and it snowed all day long.

True, one would expect more snow to remain in our yard if it’d been snowing all day. But it was a pretty wet storm, on top of a wet storm… so the snow sorta had a hard time keeping up. But there was enough for a snowman and a snowball fight, which was good enough for my son. So he and K went out and had a blast. You know, before it melts and rains some more. :P
