Wow, I didn’t post yesterday.? For, like, the first time all month long.? That’s just crazy talk!? But there really wasn’t much to say.? We’ve had a very calm week here, thank GOD, and anything that *has* happened hasnt been really worth of comment.? Like me working.? Or me playing Halo.? Ya know.? But yesterday was just lazy, lazy, lazy.? Seems I say that a lot lately about our Saturdays, but it’s true. It was *so* lazy, in fact, that I forgot to listen for the heartbeat. :blink? How bad is it when I’m SO lazy, I forget to be paranoid about my pregnancy?? Anyhow, here’s a basic rundown of my weekend:
- I got recruited into a squad on Halo PC this week.? Not to be confused with getting recruited into a clan, which happened for me back in the way beginning of December.? A squad is a smaller group of players who have practice times and “scrimmages” with other squads or clans.? Sounds confusing, I know.? Anyhow, K is in the same clan, and joined the same squad last week so I joined up too because I don’t like to be left behind. :lol? ANYHOW, long story short (too late), I had my first scrimmage on Saturday morning.? It was versus this other clan they’d played before and the word was they were tough.? Being I’m not the best player there is, I was worried.? But we did excellent, and won 2 out of 3 games, thereby winning the scrimmage.? Go us!? That was a LOT of fun.
- We had lunch at Macaroni Grill yesterday.? And everything looked fantastic.? Including H’s macaroni and cheese which I think I ended up enjoying more than my BBQ Chicken Pizza, which if you know me, says a lot.? YUM-MMY!
- I have absolutely no recollection of last night, and that scares the crap out of me.? NO, I wasn’t drunk.? Give me some credit here, people!
- For breakfast this morning, we had a simple meal of biscuits, bacon and pulp-full orange juice.? And I swear to you, it was the best breakfast (if not meal), I’ve had in my entire life.? It was THAT good.
- We ditched church this morning in favor of going to see “Nanny McPhee” at the movie theater. We’re like the WORST Christians ever.? But the only matinee was playing during the time we’d normally be doing the “invitation” and I’m all about saving the money.? Yes, there was an earlier service but I’m not so stupid as to assume the three of us could get up, showered and out the door and to church by 8:15 in the morning.
- “Nanny McPhee” was very enjoyable.? A bit heavy-handed in parts, and H did admit it was a big on the “long side” (This is the kid who can sit through Star Wars 3 without a single squirm, go figure), but it was cute and definitely pretty to look at (and yes, I’m including Colin Firth in that appraisal). On the whole: fun for the whole family.
- We rented “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” on the way home (yes, we are movie junkies).? And we?? Enjoyed it.? At least, when K wasn’t busy falling asleep he enjoyed it (the man has a problem with Sunday afternoons, comfy chairs and a fully tummy).? I thought Johnny Depp was great, and I totally got how he was portraying the character.? And the squirrels?? CUTE.? I want one too, Veruca.
- I apparently have a thing with parentheses this evening.? Hopefully, it’s short-lived.
This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
