Neurotic much?

So I’ve done a little research on my newest obsession and… I got worried. Really worried that Walmart would jerk my chain as it has before on so many different products (Cruchy Taco Hamburger Helper, anyone?) and one day I would go to buy some more grape-y goodness and it would be GONE. I just couldn’t handle that possibility. So I did what any sane, level-headed person would do.

Uber Soda
I stocked up.

Well, wouldn’t YOU?? And this is only eight 12-packs worth. It’s not like I bought out the store (okay, nearly but not entirely). And if you think this is all I plan on buying you’re a sucker. Because the next time I’m at Walmart and I see this glorious Nectar of the Gods, I’m buying more. I’m not taking any chances here, people.

In other (and less happy) news, the IRS is jerking our chains (it’s becoming a national pastime!). Last year was the first year in AGES that we’ve actually gotten a refund. Hello, Homeownership! This year, we were looking forward to a return of this good fortune. Because Lord knows, we could sure use it. Of course, we don’t have our refund yet. Why not? The IRS is a bunch of a tards. Apparently, they don’t think we filed our 2001 taxes. :blink Except for the part where we DID and not only did we file them (ON TIME), but we owed that year. As with many years. And we paid. In fact, we finished paying off that year along with a couple other years out of last years’ refund. We have PROOF of this people. 2001 was also one of the years we filed with H&R Block. We don’t have the actual return, unfortunately, but we have a copy that says “Do Not File! This is a copy!” and we’re not 100% sure they’ll accept that. :mad And who’s to say that once we file they won’t say, “Ah, but you need to pay this!” even though we already have? So anyhow, they’re holding our return until we file for the appropriate year. :dry And then? It’ll take 6-12 weeks to process the refund. Since they already took four weeks to process our refund already only to tell us this load of horse pucky. OMG, I hate the IRS. Does anyone eles have these sorts of troubles or are we just fortunate?

Also? Adding to the love: we stopped by the cemetery this afternoon. We haven’t been since we laid Jackson’s stone. It’s been WAY too long. Well we show up and the stone is gone. :( Looks like it was removed fairly recently. We’re not sure if the cemetery took it or someone else, but either way it just STINKS. So we’re going to have to look at getting a permanent stone placed. Guess I better start shopping around for the best prices. I hate having an unmarked grave out there. And in the meantime, we’ve lost that beautiful stone we worked together to make. Oh well, at least I have pictures. :dry

I am SO sorry about your stone. I remember when you showed a picture, it was really beautiful and unique. I hope you find something as beautiful to replace it.
