Today was a nice day.? After church and lunch, we stopped by Babies R Us to get a few things off our list.? The plan was to get the stroller, breastpump and diaper pail.? However, they didn’t have the diaper pail and we’re still debating on the breastpump issue.? So we ended up getting the stroller (which I *ADORE*, it’s absolutely perfect for us), an ear thermometer and a nursery health care set (nose syringe, clippers, medicine droppers, etc).? Didn’t spend up to our pre-set spending limit for the month, but we figure if I earn anything this month we can spend some of that for some more stuff.? It was a giant step forward for us.? Truly.? It was just a blatant display of HOPE.? Nevermind we have to start buying now if we want to be able to get all that we need before July 11th, it was a leap of faith for us.? Forcing us to acknowledge that we may actually be blessed with a baby.? Exciting and terrifying all at once.

Also, you may have noticed that I’ve been transcribing entries from a journal I kept while pregnant with Jackson.? Or… maybe you haven’t. ;) ? Either way, my plan to was to only transcribe as far as I am pregnant now.? Didn’t take me too long to see how that would be a bad idea, as far as my nerves later on in this pregnancy.? So I put my transcribing into double time.? And I’ve finally gotten past that horrible day. Morning, really.? It was less than 12 hours but took me 7 entries to cover.? If you’re interested, have yourself a look but I’m warning you now.? It may be a little depressing and all.? But that’s to be expected.? It was hard just transcribing things, reading it, feeling it again.? I’m glad I’m past it though.? It’ll be better for looking forward.

Beetoe, demonstrating just how we feel after a long day of shopping.? She’s reclining in the new fluffy dog bed we got her.? We’re hoping to get her back to sleeping in her kennel soon and new a fluffy new bed would help.

Anyhow, I’m spent and my belly won’t listen when I tell it that it doesn’t need to “practice” with BH contractions since it’s only getting cut open anyhow.? Darned thing. :P

It’s no secret around these parts that I pretty much bite the big one when it comes to housekeeping.? I have no interest in it.? I do the dishes when they pile up (or we run out of bowls).? I do laundry when we’re all searching for clean underwear.? But for the most part, if there’s a layer of dust on something other than the TV, I have no problem overlooking that.? Sure, I’d LIKE it to be clean.? But not enough to grab the dust rag and do it myself.

Of course, I might want to rethink this.? Not only is it difficult to whip things into shape when someone comes to visit, but it’s having an “effect.”

Tonight we were at Walmart doing our “pre-shopping” (where we purchase non-food items in a seperate trip so as to “lighten the load” during the big trip) and were in the cleaners aisle when my dear, dear son said, “What’s that smell?? It smells so good!”? I took a sniff and without pause replied, “That’s *clean*, dear.? We don’t have that at our house.”

I'm going to BlogHer!

You have no idea how relieved I am. I finally was able to order my tickets. I went ahead and got the whole shebang at once. So that’s it! I’m going to BlogHer! It’s in stone now! I can’t shell out nearly $260 and then NOT go. The cheapskate in me would shrivel up and die. And also? SO excited. I’ve been poring over the schedules for both days and trying to plan out which workshops I’ll go to (besides the ones I’ll be helping with: “Primp Your Blog” and “Design/Style/Customization”, of course). I’m just bummed I’ll miss Zoot’s workshop, “Blog in a Box”. I am SO excited. I even had a dream about going last night. :lol I can’t wait to meet people and learn things and just be with bloggers. It’s going to ROCK.

I didn’t get any real great sleep last night. I’m not 100% sure what the difference was, but I think it’s because it’s getting warmer at night. High 40s last night. And we still have our down comforter on the bed, plus the jersey knit sheets. I think I was just too warm. Plus my foot itched insanely at one point. And then my hip got sore… Today would be a fantastic day for a nap, but I just don’t see it happening. Best time for naps happens to be mornings and morning is nearly over so scratch that. I don’t trust myself napping while H is at school because I always fear I’ll sleep past when I’m supposed to go pick him up. And afterward, I’m going to be taking a shower tonight so late afternoon isn’t a good time either. I’m going to a “party” of sorts this evening and I just hope I don’t fall asleep. That would be embarassing!

In the meantime, as of Tuesday there was only 25 spots left for BlogHer day 1. Panic, panic, panic… breathe…
