Great America

by Marilyn on April 15, 2006

Big Day at Great AmericaSo rain or shine (more rain than shine, I’m afraid), the boys went to Great America yesterday. Sans me, sadly. But dad accompanied them while I stayed behind and cruised (with frequent breaks, of course) the mall with one of my friends from high school (Hi, Ang!!). They had a GREAT time, as predicted. I just wish I could have been there to see it.

H, a little unsure of Spongebob. And as I knew would happen, they didn’t get near enough pictures to satisfy me, but that’s what I get. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back there soon, all three of us. I’m thinking maybe early fall, while the joint is still open to the public. At any rate, they totally disregarded my recommendation of taking H on the kiddie coaster first, before trying to get him to go on anything bigger. They went straight to “The Grizzly” and the poor kid was to scared to try anything that even resembled a roller coaster for the rest of the visit. :roll

The boys on the cars that H couldn't belive he'd actually be allowed to drive himselfThe important thing, though, is that they had a great time.? I’m so jealous that I couldn’t be there to see it first-hand, but I know it was best for me to stay behind, both budget-wise and baby-health-wise.? The rest of the trip is going well too, we’re having a good time and even though its so cloudy and drizzly down here, the weather is so much more mild than up at home.? I feel like I’ve been sweating since we got here!? I hope everyone else is having a great Easter weekend (or Passover, if that’s your thing). I’ll try to post again before we leave here, but no promises!

Ok, first, I’m a moron. I’ve looked at Lilac Pixels SO many times and just came across the site on BlogExplosion today…had I not, I would have never known that is YOUR site. I’m a dork.

Anyway, I’m not sure what state you are in, but we used to go to GA every year for Fright Fest. Those pictures brought back memories as it was usually raining and crappy! Blast from the past! Thanks!

Hi… er, Calista? I’m not sure what I’m supposed to call you here. lol Anyway, I’m a blog virgin, so be gentle with me. LOVE the pix from Great America, but I’m glad you didn’t go so that we could catch up and go shopping. Thanks again for the shoe advice. You’re so smart. ;) Miss you!

Yay! Ang has visited my blog! :) Never fear, I’m always gentle. Woo hoo! Someone who knows me IRL! This is a first! (other than K, of course) ;)

(:snicker at you stumbling over my “name”)
