Okay, not so much with the posting again so soon.? But Easter itself is a good excuse, I think.? And today was a travel day followed by meeting-ness and whatnot and I’ve been a busy, busy girl today.? Also?? I’d already typed all of this out once before.? And it went POOF because my wireless network was crapping out and I didn’t have the presence of mind to save the post before restarting my laptop.? Dur…. :doh

So now I’m going to treat you to a random listing of observations from my “vacation” weekend.? Yeah.

• All weekend long, whenever my mom would talk on the phone to relatives and they’d ask about me, she’d tell them all about my “big fat belly”.? I’m thinking she could have left out the “fat” part altogether and the same message would have been conveyed, no?? So much for my ego.
• My parents are “firm” mattress believers.? Pregnant bodies?? Not so much.? Add to that I forgot my sacred body pillow here in Reno and I had many a tossing, turning and uncomfortable night.? I’m so glad to be home again with my own bed.? It may be a shitty mattress, but it’s MY shitty mattress.? And it’s got my ubiquitous body “dent” in it.
• I know for sure now why I’m such a reluctant housekeeper.? All those years growing up where I had to do chores, and clean the same rooms each week regardless of whether anyone stepped foot in that room or not all week long.? My mom likes a NEAT house.? I may not have been a rebelious teenager, but better late than never.
• Someday I’m going to have to take a picture of Beetoe doing “Crazy Dog” in the car.? Of course, I’m sure the true essence could never be captured by a mere photo.? It’s a sight to behold.
• It was 64 down in the valleys today, and GORGEOUS.? Up on the moutain it was 32 and SNOWING.? Gotta love April.
• There’s currently more snow piled up on those mountains than I think is physically possible.? What the heck is going to happen when (if) it all melts??
• It’s like IRELAND in California right now, it’s so green.? It nearly hurts your eyes to look at it.? But it’s so, so pretty.
• I’m so, so glad to be home.

I wish (?) I could say it was back to the old grindstone tomorrow but in all reality, it’s probably not.? K has tomorrow off work and we all know that means my slackage will continue for at least another day.? Oh darn.
