Last night, starting around 6:30, my uterus decided it’d like to have a little fun with me.? I’ve been getting Braxton Hicks contractions a lot for weeks and weeks now, but last night, I was getting them CONSTANTLY.? From 6:30 to shortly after 8pm, to be exact.? They only stopped when K pulled out the stopwatch features on his cellphone to time them.? It was almost like they realized, “Hey!? They’re onto us! Quick!? Hide!”
Tonight is no different, though they’re maybe a little less “intense”.? But then I did a tad more running around yesterday.? But yet again, starting around 6:30, the Braxton Hicks were back.? And around 8 we started to time them and *poof*, like a fart in the wind they vanished.? Go figure.
I tried telling my uterus that it doesn’t need to practice for anything, it’s just gonna get sliced open anyhow.? But I don’t think it’s listening.

Wow, what a night for television!? Wednesday night, I’m going to miss you.? *sniff*? First there was the issue of scheduling to deal with.? “Amazing Race” started at 8 and ran two hours while “Lost” started at 9 and ran one hour.? Now, most people would probably TIVO “Lost” and watch it after “Amazing Race.”? I was stumped so I asked K what we should do.? And he sorta agreed with me.? Watch the first hour of “Amazing Race” and TIVO the last hour while we watch “Lost” and then finish it up.? Pretty cock-eyed, but that’s us for you.? (We have big issues with not watching “Lost” when it airs)
I was very pleased with “Amazing Race”, of course.? Because I loves me some Hippies. :)? They made me smile the entire race.? They just never seemed to take anyone or anything seriously.? And while I realize that maybe that’s why some people hated them, I thought it added to their charm.? In a game/show where all too often the competitors take the whole thing too seriously and fight and bicker and generally make me want to dump them off a bridge somewhere, the Hippies were a breath of fresh air.? Throughout the show, I was sure WHO was going to win.? Okay, well I had an idea.? I knew it wasn’t going to be Ray and Yolanda, unfortunately.? They just kept falling too far behind.? If it hadn’t been for that flag challenge, the Frat Boys probably would have won.? And I was genuinely surprised (as well as pleased) when the Hippies finished first and went on to win the grand prize.? Had the Frats won, that would have been perfectly fine because they have truly raced a good race.? Everyone in the final three had, but the Frats were up in the stratosphere.? They probably felt pretty cheated there at the end and I wouldn’t blame them.? But lordy, I was so happy for my Hippies.? Really enjoyed the scenes in Japan as it looked like everyone had a great time. And the scenes from Alaska made me yearn to go there even more because I AM SICK OF HOT.? At any rate, it’s over, the Hippies won and I’m sad now because I have no more “AR” to watch.
“Lost” is always good, there are just degrees of good.? This wasn’t anything earth shattering, but interesting all the same.? It was interesting seeing what went on with Michael back when he left to find Walt, but it’s not like we learned a lot that we didn’t already know.? Like the fact that the Others were playin’ and they’re not all primative like they wanted Michael to believe.? Or that they asked Michael to free Whatsisname and bring certain Lostaways with him and they’d free him and Walt.? Still, it’s nice to know I haven’t been totally imagining things.? And I love how Sayid had to point out that Michael was off his nut.? Because apparentlyl figuring that out was beyond Jack’s powers of comprehension.? It’s not like Michael was being OBVIOUS or anything.? Like his hissy when Sayid wanted to come along and Hurley wanted to stay behind?? Puh-lease.? Next week will be interesting and I can’t even begin to speculate on what all is going to happen.? Except that boat?? Is totally the one that Michael asked the Others about and not some sort of rescue.? DUH!
