I think we can all agree less stress for me would probably be a bonus right about now.? I had my 34 week doctor appointment today (I’m officially 34 weeks tomorrow, but who’s counting??).? Everything looked fine and dandy.? Still haven’t gained anything (oh darn!) and everything else looks fantastic.? Even my blood pressure is just faboo.? Truly, if it weren’t for the horrible endings to pregnancy that I seem to have, I’d be the world’s most boring pregnant lady.? But boring is the way we like it around these parts. ;)
I don’t have a normal OB appointment again until July 28, nearly 36 weeks.? However, we’re starting non-stress tests on Monday.? Yippee!? Actually, these couldn’t come at a better time because I’m starting to get paranoid.? I’ve checked the heartbeat with the doppler for the last three days when normally I only check it once or twice a week.? Doesn’t take much to freak me out.? So I was joking to Kile at the OB’s office this afternoon that they’re called non-stress tests because we don’t want Marilyn to stress out.? It’s a preventative measure, ya know. ;)
I’ll be going in twice a week from here on out.? *gulp*? Mondays and Thursdays.? The OB’s office is closed July 3, however, the scheduling gal said she’d get me an appointment set up at the hospital for that day.? Yipes!? :lol But I love the vigilance.? It really does help me to feel better, more relaxed.? And?? It’s exciting.? Because this is proof that we’re getting down to the wire here.? We’re CLOSE.? And I totally DIG that. ;)
I don’t know if we’ll be doing the ultrasound to check for fluid levels or not.? She said something about not needing to, I think.? But whatever, it doesn’t really matter.? I’ve already pretty much resigned myself to not finding out till the wee one is born.? I don’t *like* it, but I’ve accepted it.? It’ll probably be a boy.? Or a girl.? Hey, anyone want to place any bets?? You know you wanna.? I’ll even point out the post that had the ultrasound pictures so you can make an educated guess.? Or as a best an educated guess as you can make since those pictures really sorta stunk. ? And, because I’m OCD, I did an edit on one of the pictures.? I finally figured out the baby’s orientation in the pic.? So I turned the pic so the bottom is the bottom, etc.? And added some labels.? It’s still pretty much GREEK, but there you have it. ;)? If you’re right then you’ll win… the satisfaction of knowing you were right.? Who wouldn’t want that?!
So there you have it.? Tomorrow we shall have a belly shot (woo!) and happy blathering about some of my weekend plans which I’m excited about but that will be of absolutely no interest to anyone else.
This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
