I *did* end up seeing it.

Remember when I said I kinda wanted to see “The Lake House”? Well, we rented it last night.? We didn’t have the $$ to go out to a movie, but we could manage a rental at home and when I saw it sitting on the shelf, I knew what I was getting.? It was… really good actually.? I sort of had a hard time getting into it at first, and surprisingly enough it wasn’t because of Keanu Reeves at all.? It was just a different sort of story with some strange scripting that took a bit to get used to.? However, it was a very sweet story and I enjoyed BOTH Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves.? Believe it or not!

Also, I was very proud of myself for calling a major climactic plot point very near the beginning.? When it happened, I was hesitant to say what I thought because I wasn’t 100% sure.? But it became apparent as the movie went on that I was correct and I felt some degree of satisfaction about that.? I also felt a little dread because I thought it meant the movie would have a tragic end and it did NOT so I was very happy about that.

So… a good movie.? If you’re willing to suspend a couple of disbeliefs regarding the time/space continuum and are in the mood for something achingly romantic, definitely rent it.? I had a hard time falling asleep for thinking about it, and that’s generally a compliment.
