Have you seen this little icon down on my sidebar?? I added this a day or two ago, because I wholeheartedly believe in this concept put forth by Karen and Jen.? And that concept is to use your blog responsibly.? Yes, the internet affords you some anonymity. And, in theory, you can use that anonymity to lash out at other people, online or off.? To bitch and rant about people who tick you off without impunity.? After all, it’s your blog and you can say whatever you want on it, right?
There are a lot of blogs out there that have been started for the sole purpose of ripping other blogs and bloggers.? For whatever reason (jealousy, judgement, disagreement, pettyness…).? And this movement dares to say that maybe just because you can doesn’t mean you should.? That we as a blogging community should instead save our harsh words for things like politics, stupid drivers out there on the road, and frustrating television programs.? But to bash one another is counter-productive.? And just because you can hurt someone’s feeling, doesn’t mean you should.
So this is my way of saying that I’m going to continue to promote a friendly-blogger environment around here.? If you have something negative to say about another blogger (yes, even one that has it coming), perhaps you should find someplace else to say it.? As the title of this post says, let’s try a little tenderness.

Amen, sister. I completely agree and I totally don’t get that trend.
I don’t mind being the nice girl. Some might call it dull, but I think it works for me.
