It occurs to me that today is my blogaversary. To those who are not in the know, a blogaversary is a birthday for your blog. And, as of today, I’ve been blogging for two years. Holy moly. Things have changed dramatically in those two years. I’ve seen some pretty harsh lows and some absolutely wonderful highs. I’ve seen a record-breaking snowstorm and which ultimately caused me to break my ankle and be housebound for far longer than I cared to enjoy. I got pregnant again after losing Jackson, only to lose that baby as well several months later. I chronicled the drunken spree that was August of 2005, and the cautious joy when I got pregnant again in November. I was here, blogging, through a nerve-wracking pregnancy that showed me the true love a woman can have for her rental doppler. And, blessedly, the blog has seen me through the birth of my son, Liam.? I can’t believe that was over five months ago.? We’ve been to BlogHer together and met some of the coolest people I ever could have hoped to meet.? This blog is a fantastic, wonderful thing.? Even if not a single other soul ever read it, I would still love it.? It’s an outlet, and oftentimes, a much needed one.? I truly believe this blog has saved my sanity on more than one occasion.

I hope I have many more years to add to these two.? I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.

In other news, we’re keeping it together over here in Sickville.? Last night wasn’t as bad, despite a coughing jag at about 4am.? He had another coughing jag here at 8:30 that got my adrenaline going pretty good.? On the other hand, he is still in good spirits and even seems to be feeling better.? Fingers are crossed and double crossed.

We leave early tomorrow.? Which means, the next time I blog (hopefully tomorrow or soon thereafter), I’ll be in San Jose.? Here’s hoping we make it over the mountain tomorrow without incident.? I’m so past ready for a vacation, it’s not even funny.
