This week is totally jacked. First, it’s the first week Harry is back at school after his February break. It’s kinda nice to have him back, but its also really weird at the same time. Plus, it means I have to endure “crunch time” every morning. That’s the chunk of time I’m trying to get my 451press posts done, milk pumped and everything else ready before 9 am, when I take Harry to school. It’s a little nicer when I have an extra hour but so far, its gone well. Partially? Because of my “secondly”. Secondly, Harry didn’t go to school yesterday. Was he sick? No. Did they call a snow day? No. They did delay school for two hours in the morning due to all the snow, but no snow day. No, I didn’t want to drive in the snow. God, it sounds even worse now than it did at the time. But I just didn’t feel comfortable with taking him down to school. They never plow those roads and those other parents drive like friggin’ maniacs. Kile went in late, but not late enough to take Harry to school for me. So he stayed home. So that’s also contributed to my skewed view on the week. The snow was a third factor. It was crazy snow. Or at least, the craziest snow we’ve had this year. And it made me want to take a vacation and go roll around in it. Probably part of the reason I didn’t want to take Harry to school yesterday, now that I think of it. So it’s only Wednesday. That’s not right. I feel like it should be Friday.
At least I can comfort myself with the knowledge that a) it’s the last day of February and that means Kile has gotten paid and we’re going to go have lunch with him which is always fun and b) “Lost” is on tonight and it had dang well better be good. I have hope. (LOL, just got sidetracked watching the “The View” and seeing Elisabeth’s head implode when ranting about Al Gore. LOVE the faces Rosie is making.)
Anyhow… where was I again? Oh yeah. It’s Wednesday. And I’m a little saddened by that fact. Cuz it’s means there’s two more days until the weekend. And I loves maself some weekend.
Okay, I just got finished watching “Heroes” and I’m still trying to scrape my jaw up from off the floor. That was maybe the best tv show I’ve ever seen. At least this year, if not since I was born. If you haven’t seen tonight’s ep yet, you may wanna skip on the rest of this post. I don’t think I’ll give too much away but who knows what I’ll do once I start gushing over the awesomeness.
This is what “Lost” needs to do. Give us answers, lots of answers, make those answers stunning and before we’ve recovered from one answer, pile another one on top of it. Keep us stunned silent with the magnatude of the answers. Leave us bawling like little babies at the end over the soul-ripping emotion we can practially see rising off the television in waves.
We learned a lot about HRG a.k.a. Mr. Bennett in tonight’s episode. The story behind his “paper factory” and his involvement with all these heroes. It’s kinda complicated, and I don’t entirely understand it all myself at the moment. But his hero “partner” before the Haitian was Claude. Yes, that Claude. Invisible boy. And we saw HRG get Claire. George Takei gave her to him, promising to take her back if her powers ever manifested. Yes, Hiro’s dad. And there’s Hiro right there, playing his gameboy. OMFG. I totally geeked out at that point.
I guess the point I’m trying to make here… if you aren’t watching “Heroes”, then you are so totally missing out. This episode was to be continued. And next week looks to be singularly awesome. Which I have a hard time believing simply because this week was SO DAMN GOOD. At the end, where HRG had the Haitian shoot him (non-lethally) and then remove his Claire memories so that “they” wouldn’t find her and she was hugging her dad and crying and he was crying and I WAS CRYING. Kile was getting teary eyed too. It was just heart ripping. I can’t imagine that pain.
Whoops. I actually gave a lot away. Well, if you watched, then you know what I’m talking about. And if you didn’t, and didn’t head my warning, then that was pretty dumb of you, I must say. Anyhow. Okay, off to blow my nose. That was SO GOOD. Oh my ever-living god. I love this show.
Okay, we’re home and the “Live from the Red Carpet” show on E has already been on for almost an hour. Oops! Think of all the fashion I’ve missed! Without further ado!
3:57pm: Jessica Biel talks to Ryan Seacrest. Love the color of her dress, but not sure if I’m loving the rest of it. Hair looks bangin’ though. Rachael Weiss and Penelope Cruz were just talking to him. But Penelope’s dress was great! Was good to see Jodi Foster as well. Anywho. Where’s the booze! This sort of event requires copious amounts of booze!
3:59pm: John Travolta is friends with Forrest Whittaker? Sounds like the safe call, since we all know he’s gonna win anyhow. Oh, look at Djimon Hounsou! Lookin’ hawt! Heh. Hey, I see Leo! Dude, I feel like such a tool.
4:02pm: I know I need to pace myself, but what in the name of all that is holy is Jennifer Hudson WEARING? It looks like something is attacking her neck. Yikes!

We finally got liam’s carseat and boy, did we get a doozy. May as well get the best, right?
Edited to add: Okay, I did this up on my cellphone while we were still out and about, doing some shopping. But I’m a horrible text-er and it took me a good ten minutes to enter in that title and what I wrote up above. Awful. But yes, we got a Britax Boulevard. I feel like I’ve got carseats coming out of my ears after all the research I did this week on darned convertible carseats. I think we made the right choice. For the price we paid, we better have made the right choice! There goes our tax return. ;)
