TWO!! And they looked terribly uncomfortable. I ended up buying mine from Motherhood Maternity off the discount rack - $4.99 a piece. I'm in Canada, but that's the only spot our WalMart's carry the nursing bras. I actually enjoyed the Playtex (I think) one that looked like a bullet bra: no underwire, lacey overlay, kinda pointy looking. I felt best in that, of all the bras I had. I bought a couple Bravado bras (it's a Canadian company!) in 2003 when my son was born and while I loved them, my elastic at the band kept rolling, which bugged. I'm voluptuous, however, so YMMV. I've seen that they've updated/improved their designs. I've been looking into the Decent Exposures bras (online) for the new baby coming this summer. Did you try in the boxed bras section? At all. They have the lingerie and they have baby clothes. I think inbetween those two departments would be an excellent location for maternity clothes. But apparently not. Luckily for me, the junior's department has had some really cute tunic style stretchy shirts that I've been able to make due with. However, when it is time for me to venture into the realm of the nursing bra, I think I will be on my way to Target and/or a maternity store. They are the Bravada brand and I swear by them. They were about $20 a piece and have really held up - I've had them since Sept 2005.
