Guess what? Another generic product that I’ve purchased from Wal-Mart has been recalled! Yippee! This time, it’s my peanut butter and apparently, it could have salmonella in it. NIIIIIICE. I will admit, the generic tylenol we got that was recalled back in November, we have not tossed it. I will admit to having taken some since the recall. But that’s just metal fragments and that’s something that only Kile or I use. So, I don’t know, I guess that makes it okay somehow? But the peanut butter… that’s like a chief ingredient in Harry’s diet. If I had to name one food product that child has at least one time every day, it’d be peanut butter. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to risk infecting my kid with salmonella. Even though two of our open and almost finished jars of peanut butter are also included in the recall and no one has gotten sick yet, I’m still not going to tempt the fates. So we have three jars total of this stuff. Damnit. Okay, maybe this IS what I get for buying generic from Wal-Mart all the time. But, honestly, it never usually makes a difference. Apparently it only makes a difference in those life or death sort of situations. I swear, my cheapness WILL be my undoing.
