We decided to stay another day here in Elko.  Part of this decision was motivated by laziness (the blog is called “Slackermama”, ya’ll.  This should come as NO surprise) and part was motivated by weather (it snowed a bit last night and the roads were a lil slick this morning).   Plus, neither of us was really excited about getting back to work.  So the plan is to go late morning tomorrow.  I’ll be happy to get back to my house and my stuff, but it’s also nice to be out here away from it all.  Unfortunately, it’s also away from it all.  We’ve been trying to get my cellphone (finally) outfitted to play mp3s, hopefully through the car speakers since I have a serious hate/hate relationship with our portable cd player.  And when driving through the middle of Nevada, you need a reliable music source since you can’t expect to listen to the RADIO or anything.  Well, they have a memory card, that’s no problem.  But I can’t find a mini-USB/headphone adapter.  And I didn’t bring my mini-USB/USB adapter either so I’m not sure I could transfer music files from my laptop anyhow.  BOO!  So it looks like yet another trip is to be made with the POS cd player.  If it doesn’t end up smashed on the side of the road somewhere, it’ll be a miracle.

We’re all well; the boys are (mostly) well.  Harry spent a good portion of the day yesterday being unbelievably moody.  Tired, I believe.  He has had a very lax bedtime of late and it’s caught up with him.  Liam, on the other hand, is in the throes of teething and had a fever for a good portion of yesterday.  He’s feeling more himself today, and his tooth is really showing now.  I’ll try to get a pic of it.

So tomorrow, it’s back home.  For better or for worse.
