Okay, we’re home and the “Live from the Red Carpet” show on E has already been on for almost an hour. Oops! Think of all the fashion I’ve missed! Without further ado!
3:57pm: Jessica Biel talks to Ryan Seacrest. Love the color of her dress, but not sure if I’m loving the rest of it. Hair looks bangin’ though. Rachael Weiss and Penelope Cruz were just talking to him. But Penelope’s dress was great! Was good to see Jodi Foster as well. Anywho. Where’s the booze! This sort of event requires copious amounts of booze!
3:59pm: John Travolta is friends with Forrest Whittaker? Sounds like the safe call, since we all know he’s gonna win anyhow. Oh, look at Djimon Hounsou! Lookin’ hawt! Heh. Hey, I see Leo! Dude, I feel like such a tool.
4:02pm: I know I need to pace myself, but what in the name of all that is holy is Jennifer Hudson WEARING? It looks like something is attacking her neck. Yikes!
4:10pm: Why does Leo keep doing that slick thing to his hair? It just ain’t right.
4:14pm: Ryan doesn’t know what kind of underwear he’s wearing? Seriously? How can you not know that? Wow.
4:27pm: Kirsten Dunst… what words are there? That dress… I feel like it should be pretty… but it’s not. It’s just so, so horribly wrong in an almost subtle way. Ryan doesn’t love Anne Hathaway’s dress. Yeah, have to agree.

4:46pm: DON’T like that color on Kate Winslet. (dude, what’s with the wrinkles around her eyes??) Caught a glimpse of Nicole Kidman and don’t care for that particular look either. What’s up with the back of her dress? Okay, we need more fantastic dresses here because I’m not feeling it tonight.
4:50pm: Okay more to add to the NO! category: Meryl Streep (bad bad bad!) and, cute as she is, Abigail Breslin (who bedazzled her dress for her, I must know?). Reese Witherspoon, on the other hand, looks MAGNIFICANT. Love it love it love it. She’s just rocking the bangs look, isn’t she?
4:56pm: Seriously, is tonight the “Attack the Neck” night?
5:04pm: Okay, have switched over to ABC’s coverage. Where… I get to see Nicole Kidman’s dress again. Oh, lord help me.
5:08pm: Omg, the “Devil Wears Prada” costume lady (Pat Fields, as it turns out) has some seriously scary red hair. Lay off the cigarettes and let your natural color come through, for the love of GOD.
5:15pm: Okay, I totally feel like I’ve seen all this already. Difference? I like Cameron’s dress even less this time around.
5:24pm: Dude, where’s the booze? I feel like I need booze right about now. I think we’re making up some Sangria tonight. Yummers!
5:25pm: You know, I think Kate Winslet looks better with her hair DOWN. I love when she indulges her natural curl and just rocks it. This bun thing is just too severe a look for her.
5:30pm: Yay! It’s starting! Aww… Peter O’Toole. Can’t wait to see how Ellen does.
5:35pm: Okay, that opening was really cute. I liked that. Minimal, but effective. Kudos to whoever thought that up.
5:43pm: I like Ellen’s monologue. Not exciting, but cute. Just like Ellen. Love the Al Gore joke.
5:51pm: “Pan’s Labyrinth” won Art Direction. I think I actually picked that one to win. Wow, go me!
5:55pm: LOL at Will Ferrell’s ‘fro. LOVE this little number.

6:01pm: OMG, how cute are they presenting together?? Jaden Smith is one heck of a cute kid. Dude, didn’t get this one though. I picked “Little Matchgirl”. I was WAY off. Harrison is protesting rather loudly (he was rooting for “No Time for Nuts”)
6:04pm: Okay, I’m all indignant now because I picked “West Bank Story” for Live Action Short and I actually did lots of investigative work on picking that. Kile picked it simply because he didn’t pick ahead of time and forgot to pay attention to the other nominees and it was the last one listed so he won that one by default. No fair!
6:08pm: “Letters from Iwo Jima” is the only movie I didn’t see that’s nominated for Best Picture. I don’t even really want to see it. Is that bad?
6:12pm: Okay the sound effects choir is kinda freaking me out. Can we move on?
6:19pm: Kile’s all pissed now that I got Sound Editing and Sound Mixing right and has threatened to “give up.” He hates it when I beat him.
6:23pm: Holy CRAP! Alan Arkin wins Best Supporting Actor! I’m ecstatic, he was awesome in “Sunshine”, and I was right that Eddie overplayed it by doing freakin’ “Norbit”. Dumbass.
6:33pm: I wish that song from “Cars” would win, but I know one of the “Dreamgirls” songs will win. Bah.
6:38pm: Al Gore being played off? HAHAHAHA!!! Love it. He’s such a good sport.
6:44pm: Holy Crap, “Cars” didn’t win!! Man, and I didn’t even see “Happy Feet”. So I’m just gonna bust out with a big ol’ BOO here, ya’ll.
6:49pm: I think they just keep the camera on Jack Nicholson the whole time. Just in case. And yes, his bald head sorta freaks me out.
7:07pm: Okay, had to go make my pizza (custom toppings, woot!), but TOM CRUISE! They let that nutjob present? And Nicole is RIGHT THERE. Can we say awkward?
7:23pm: Upsets right and left! Shocked that “Superman Returns” didn’t win Visual Effects. I think the voters are totally f’ing with me tonight.
7:30: Wow. Just… wow. “Pan’s Labyrinth” didn’t win for Foreign Language film? WOW. Yeah, all bets are off here people. Helen Mirren, be afraid.
7:35: Jennifer Hudson: girl, don’t look so shocked. You knew you were gonna win. Hold it together or no one will take you seriously ever again. Bah.
7:39pm: How tall is Jennifer Hudson? Because she was standing next to George Clooney there at the end of her speech for a second and he looked totally short compared to her.
7:46pm: Dude, saw George Lucas in the audience. Seeing him still makes me giggle like a little girl. Such a “Star Wars” geek. OMG, if “Inconvenient Truth” doesn’t win, my head will fall off.
7:48pm: Whew. I don’t know what I would have done without my head.

8:27pm: Wow, call me a liveblogging slacker. I picked “Listen” from “Dreamgirls” to win and I think I made the right choice. It’s the best of the three, I think.
