You know, these random posts don’t have to be limited to just Fridays, you know. Last week I did one on Saturday and today is a Thursday. And you know what? I’m gonna do a bulleted random post. So nyah. Get used to it. (OMG, what a horrible way to speak to my dear, dear readers. All five of you. I’m so sorry, forgive me.)
- Apparently, VATech’s alumni association is asking that people wear orange and maroon tomorrow to show their support and solidarity with the school in the wake of Monday’s tragedy. This is a great idea. While I cringe at the idea of those two colors together in a non-logo style apparel, I think it’s a great way to show that you’re thinking of those poor students and families. And I totally would do it, but I don’t think I own a single thing that is even the slightest bit orange in color. I’m serious. But I do have some maroon yoga pants and you better believe I’ll wear those.
- I’ve been such a busy, social bee this week. It’s fabulous. You all know about my Monday, of course. Wednesday was filled with MOPS in the morning and in the afternoon I went over to my new friend’s house and ended up staying over there for pizza for dinner. Mm… pizza. And today, we walked the kids down to school together and ended up over at another friend’s home for coffee. That ended up extending to lunch when we started talking about how good Jack in the Box hamburgers are. This is great for my social life but I’m not getting a whole lot of work done. *gulp*
- I’m having a lot of pain on my left side when I pump. It’s kind of making me want to stop pumping altogether. As much as I hate having to thaw out freezer milk (of which I have a veritable mint), I hate the pain even more. I’m such a wuss.
- I love “Lost”. I really, really do. It was interesting last night, and I totally thought that was going to be Penny that parachuted onto the island. The question is, now that we know it wasn’t her, WHO IS IT? Some chick who carries around a picture of Desmond and Penny? And knows him? WTF? Also, they need to stop calling the finale cataclysmic because it’s giving me hives. I’m all excited and it’s a TV show, people. It’s a sickness.
- I loves ma “American Idol” too. And now that Sanjaya is (finally) gone and they did NOT boot Blake last night, I feel like I can watch it again without feeling so dirty. Because I was frankly starting to get a little scared.
- Tomorrow is FRIDAY, ya’ll. That’s cause for celebration right there. Have a margarita for me, mkay?
