Naw, I’m not freaking out. Unless you mean in a good way and because it is FRIDAY and it’s officially the weekend tomorrow. Then yes, I am freaking out. Freaking out with the happy! But I wonder if I truly deserve it to be Friday, since my week didn’t really start until Tuesday. I got a day off, you see. Maybe the people who had to start on Monday deserve it more than I do? Are these TRULY the things I think about? Yes. Yes, they are.

Why did no one watch “Firefly” when it was on TV? And why was it on FOX of all networks? If only it had been a few years later, I’m sure it would have just been made for Sci-Fi Network and it would still be on. But no. FOX fuxed it over and it was canceled after a puny, shortened season. And it was genius, ya’ll. That show had more awesome in 12 episodes than some shows have in 100 episodes. Everyone loves to wax poetic about “Friday Night Lights” and how it is so good and gets such a poor reception from “everyman” and how unfair that is. They act like that’s the first time that’s ever happened to a show. And for what it’s worth? “FNL” never did capture my attention. And I’ve TRIED. But it’s just too disjointed. While I see how that is what a lot of people love about the show, it doesn’t really help me to bond with any of the characters in particular and therefore I don’t feel any emotional investment in the show. So when my DVR is full and I’ve got lots of shows to watch, the shows that don’t ask an emotional investment from me are the ones that get the cut. Too bad. So sad. But anyhow. Where was I?

Have you seen VH1’s “100 Greatest Songs of the 80’s”? Anyone who enjoyed the 80’s as much as me loves a good countdown and this one doesn’t disappoint. While there are a few songs I feel are misplaced and a few songs I feel were unfairly left out, for the most part it covered the bases very well. And there was almost no songs in the top 20 that I didn’t say, “Of COURSE!” when I saw that it was included. If you want some flashback-y goodness, you gotta watch this next time VH1 rolls it out. It just might make you wish for those “good old days” when 80’s music ruled the world. And is there any music that is better than 80’s music? I just don’t think so.

Is it Saturday yet? Why do I feel like I’m trapped in some sort of strange limbo this week? Having left several big events behind me but with something large on the horizon. I just wish I knew what that “something large” was. Or maybe I’m just making this all up. Still, I like to think that something is coming. Something good, hopefully.

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
