Guess I’m feeling better…

by Marilyn on August 23, 2007

Getting that off my chest this morning really helped.  I feel like I have a clearer head about everything and while I’m still stunned beyond all belief (I seriously keep looking at the pregnancy test, you know, just to make sure), I’m feeling better.  So much better that guess what I’ve been looking at?

Double Stroller

The good news is that there’s very little else I’ll have to worry about buying.  Especially if this ends up being a boy (and come on, we all know it will).  But dang, these double strollers are expensive.  And quite frankly, they’re a little scary looking.  Knowing me though, I think it’s something I’m going to have to have.  I better start saving my money right now.

(speaking of which, still waiting for my site to go poof as I’m far too poor to actually pay for hosting.  GOD HELP ME.  so when it does inevitably happen, just trust that I’ll be back as soon as I can.)

I’ll admit, I started shopping strollers as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I LOVE me some wheels and I do have a bit of a stroller fetish (I totally notice what other mothers are pushing) I ended up going with another Combi, but I like something lighter that travels easily. Ebay is definitely the way to go for strollers, though. I saved about $50 by buying there - it was even new, in the box.

I am so glad you are feeling better. Love the stroller….
Lets get serious though……Have you been thinking about names? That is totally my weakness. I loved trying several million names when I was pregnant, and I love hearing all the names people pick for their kids……. So, are you going to let us in on all the million names floating around in your head or are you going to keep us wondering?

Oh, Marilyn! I’m so happy to read that you’re feeling more excited and optimistic.
(I think you’ll get your girl. With all the miracles going on here…why not sweeten the pot, right?)
I live in daily fear of the double stroller. Especially living in the city, where a side-by-side stroller will never fit through a market door, let alone the grocery store or avoid the b*tchy looks from other pedestrians on the street.
But! Should I need one in the next year or so, I have my heart set on the Phil & Ted’s Sport Double (the one up/one down). I know a lot of moms who love them!

The double is totally needed, I just hate the bulkiness. I hate the bulkiness of a single, sturdy stroller, though, so don’t listen to me! Glad you’re feeling better!

I, too, am glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better. Of course, your nervousness is totally understandable, but balancing that feeling with some good old-fashioned joy just has to be a good thing.

Awww, how exciting! I have the Sit-N-Stand from Target. It was only $120 and it is awesome!!! My older one loves the option of sitting facing me and standing facing her little sister. It also uses almost anytype of infant carseat in the front until the baby is old enough to sit in the regular seat. I LOVE it!

And congrats!!!
