Tuesday Thoughts

by Marilyn on September 18, 2007

I’m lucky I can take care of myself and Liam today, much less write a coherent blog post.  It completely feels like a Monday and I have travel lag to boot.  So instead of coherence, I’m going to treat you to bullets.  Yay!

  • I am apparently 11 weeks pregnant today.  Time flies, huh?  I have a hard time digesting this STILL.  I was looking at the ultrasound photo this morning and had to remind myself that YES, that little squirmy thing is actually INSIDE ME RIGHT NOW.  And probably getting bigger by the day (hopefully).  It’s surreal.  In the next week or so I’ll be leaving the third month behind and entering the second trimester.  Holy geeze, I just freaked myself out.
  • The weather is so much more decent this week.  But it might be getting a little TOO decent.  I just saw that rain and snow showers were in the forecast for Thursday (soccer practice day!).  ‘Scuse me?  But I can definitely handle high 60’s and 70’s for the next couple of weeks.  I’m so not built for the heat.  I love being able to wear pants and long sleeved shirts.  I actually felt a little cold last night and debated when would be the right time to put the down comforter on the bed.  AWESOME.
  • My sister showed me how to blow dry my hair on Sunday and I’m all excited to try it again.  I had Kile give my hair a quick trim last night (boo, split ends!) and I figure that sort of effort is best spent on a day that I’m not going to be lounging around or chasing after a wild baby all day long.  So maybe for the weekend.  Still, I feel like I finally might have a hairdo in my repertoire that I can pull out when needed.
  • Speaking of wild babies.  He is DEFINITELY not like Harry.  He was going nuclear at the party on Saturday night and every time we took him to visit my mom in the hospital, he would choose that moment to go nuts.  He’s not BAD, per se, but he’s definitely being very active.  It’s cute, otherwise I would have chucked him out the window around Roseville.  (Coincidentally, that’s when he was starting to lose it because more than an hour in the car at a time is apparently INTOLERABLE.)

Okay, the clock tells me it’s time to think about going to pick up Harry from school so I guess I should go do that.  Don’t forget to watch Big Brother 8 tonight!  Which will win, Evil or More Evil?  Do we care?

Indeed, I’m not really “feeling” pregnant a lot of the time, so I really get where you’re coming from with the surreal thing. In 6 months time, if all’s well, we’ll have newborns. Insane… :shock_tb: :lol
