Get out there and comment!

The Great Mofo Delurk 2007You know what this means, right? It’s De-Lurking Day and that means it’s time to step out from behind that potted plant over there (yes, I SEE YOU) and leave a comment. That goes double for me. I’ve always been a poor commenter. I’m infamous for reading a blog for months on end and never commenting and then I wonder why the author doesn’t know who the heck I am. Uhm, hello? It’s become worse since Google Reader entered my life. Now it’s even EASIER to not comment on my favorite blogs!

But today, I’m going to change all that. I’m going to go out there and comment and fill the blog world with my grains of wisdom, pith and support. And I’d like to encourage all of you (all five of you) to do the same. Not just here (though some comments here would be LOVELY because each and every one of them totally makes my day. SERIOUSLY), but everywhere you read. Spread the love! Share yourself! Let the comment love begin!

Zoot had a great idea over on her blog, giving her faithful commenters something to comment about (it’s helpful, no?). So I’ve been trying to wrack my brain, to think of a good conversation starter. It’s not as easy as it sounds. So here goes: Do you think it’s strange in the slightest that I had a dream about “The Office” last night? And not like I was IN “The Office”, but more like I was just watching it. And it was all about Pam and Jim getting it on. Does this mean I’m watching too much television? Or can I blame it on the pregnancy hormones?

Also (before I go off and comment myself into a stupor): I downgraded my blog to WordPress version 2.2.3 for now. It fixes the errors that were popping up everywhere and making me angry. However, my categories seem to have disappeared. Oh well, I guess I can’t have everything. But hopefully you would-be commenters won’t get any errors and that’s the important thing.

Dude. DUDE. I dream about TV ALL THE TIME. It’s embarrassing. Seriously. And scary.

And I havent upgraded yet, just not ready to brave the elements.

I don’t think it’s weird exactly that you’re dreaming about watching television, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a dream about it. Of course, we still just use our rabbit ears to pull in 3 or 4 channels, so I don’t normally watch a lot of TV. J is in hog heaven in our temporary abode though, which has satellite: he can search for, and find, CSI at almost any time of the day. And the home team hockey season kicks off tonight so he’s super-excited about being able to watch it. On his birthday no less. Good timing.

You left out the important details of the dream….such as was your TV watching uninterrupted? Were you eating any yummy snacks? Were you comfy on the couch cuddled under a warm blanket? Were you snug in your pjs? I mean, THAT would sound like a heavenly dream to me! :)

At least Pam and Jim getting it on is an interesting story line, although Dwight T. Schrute might be worth a good laugh (see I watch too much TV as well). Delurking to say hi!

Ooh, took a bit to find the comment box. Its WAAAY down at the bottom after all your sidebars?

Ok, delurking, although I’ve commented here before. I probably watch too much TV - I use it as background noise a lot of the time - but I never got into “The Office”. I think its too much like real work :)

Ack. I see what Nicole meant about the comment box. Maybe it’s an IE 7 issue.
And no, I don’t think dreaming about watching tv is weird. I dream about sitting in meetings all time time. Now that, is weird.

I think I’m commented before so this isn’t an official “delurk”, but well, hi! And The Office is AWESOME!

I’m horrible about lurking. I read everything in Google Reader. But here I am, making myself known.

I love dreaming about tv. Especially if I’m the one getting it on with someone hotttt!!

Okay. Yes I lurk. But you also know I read this blog. I tell you so all the time. And I send you emails with my comments, because really, sometimes I have alot to say and I don’t think that everyone wants to read my random ramblings about what you said in the first place. Does that make sense? I’ll try to be better. But I said that last time you said it was time to de-lurk and I haven’t done much better have I? Now I have some guilt. Just what I needed!! :tongue2_tb:

    Delurking!

My dreams with celebrities tend to involve situations that are completely normal but made abnormal because of the presence of said celebrity. Like, this one time, I had a dream that Julia Roberts was my best friend and we went to Target. After the trip to Target she was going to take me to the car dealership and buy me a new car, you know, for shits and giggles.

I don’t think it counts if I comment as “delurking” but wanted to say Hi anyway.

    MUWHA

Happy day-late delurk. Yeah, I rock with my timeliness, right? But, I totally don’t think you’re weird for dreaming about TV characters. I kind of think it’s awesome that your subconscious wants Jim and Pam to work out … and get it on.

    Awwww keeerap!

I thought I’d commented yesterday. Now who’s the slackermama? (Um, me?)

I dream about TV all. the. time!

wow! Harry sounds like an amazing kid. Advice from a teacher: It’s highly unlikely that his school reading program will challenge him thoroughly. Keep him reading books of his choice, whatever the reading level, for pleasure; it will help avoid boredom. I hate that word, but it can happen to gifted children.
