Something

I’m not real encouraged for NaBloPoMo this year.  If you’re not familiar, by joining on with NaBloPoMo, you’re promising you’ll post at least once a day every day for the entire month of November.  Last year, I finished the entire month rather easily.  Not sure how, seeing as how I had a young baby in the house.  But he was still in that narcoleptic stage that babies always go through where they sleep about 14 hours during the day.

But lately, I’ve been dragging my feet at posting here, haven’t I?  Boo.  That’s no fun.  Not for you, who might like to see something new every once in a while.  And not for me, who genuinely enjoys her blog and posting to it.  I just am not sure what all I have to say.  My own voice sounds absurd to me right now.  Anything I want to talk about sounds silly or even worse, stupid.

But I wanted to get something up today, at the very least.  Even though not much really happened today.  Harry had his last soccer game of the season.  And thank jeebus for that.  His coaches were a little on the subpar side and his team never won a single game.  Not that winning games is all that important, but it was frustrating to the other kids to see the other teams so well prepared for these games and their team was just NOT.  But we made sure to keep telling Harry that we were proud of him, that he was playing very well.  He seemed to enjoy it, in spite of everything, though us parents often felt like ripping our hair out.  Afterward?  We went to In n Out for burgers and it was so fabulous.  I feel downright sorry for anyone who doesn’t have one of these joints near them.  Because it is such a treat.  That’s saying quite a bit for fast food.

Tomorrow, the plan is to go to church.  We shall see how things go in the morning.  We planned to go to church last week too, and we ended up sitting around in our pajamas until it was too late.  Oops.   Anyhow.  Thinking of taking a quick walk around the block before heading to bed.  My feet and back (and everything else) screams no, but I know I should.  As uncomfortable as that bed is, sleeping in it is still preferable to no sleep at all.

I go into NaBloPoMo with a plan. Not everything neatly planned out, but I go in with some ideas for different things to post about. I try to look at as a challenge and FUN. But yeah, by the end of the month, I am tired of posting. Still, I cannot imagine NOT doing it again.

I wanted to participate last year, but we were putting in new flooring, ripping apart our bathroom and it just wasn’t a good time. I’m really excited for it. I usually post once a day, so I don’t think I’ll have too much of a problem. (Knock on wood)

Yeah, I had a young one this time last year too. I was new to blogging - didn’t know about the whole NaBloPoMo thing, but I was actually blogging in TWO blogs, almost every day! I can’t imagine how I ever did that. Now I’m lucky to get something up every week. It’s so much harder with a 16-month-old boy who wants to climb up everything!
